    Abstract: Disclosed is a data processing system implemented method, a data processing system and an article of manufacture for testing accessibility of a data processing system program according to accessibility criteria. The data processing system program includes a plurality of objects, at least one object of the plurality of objects usable as a user interface between the data processing system program and a user. The data processing system implemented method includes identifying the at least one object of the data processing system program pertaining to the user interface, determining if the identified at least one object satisfies the accessibility criteria by examining an accessibility description for the identified at least one object, and producing an indication that the identified at least one object does not satisfy the accessibility criteria if the identified object does not contain an accessibility description.

    Abstract: A system and method for testing a database system which includes external file references to files stored on a remote file system. A control table within the database management system which enables controlled but random access to files on the remote file system that are accessed through external file references. A tool within the remote file system maintains the control table and creates, deletes and exercises the test files within the external file system. Triggers on base tables within the database management system are used to maintain the integrity of the control table.
