  • Publication number: 20200288000
Abstract: A battery in a mobile phone cover may be selectively charged according to a user-selectable parameter. When charged, the battery in the mobile phone cover may be used to charge a battery in a mobile phone.

  • Publication number: 20200285359
Abstract: A host mobile device and a mobile device cover for use with the host mobile device are configured to select a light pattern and one or more light pattern parameters. The host mobile device runs a mobile application that provides a graphical preview of the selected light pattern on the mobile device cover according to the one or more light parameters. In addition, the mobile application provides a preview of a notification by causing the mobile device cover to display the selected light pattern on the lights and/or screens of the mobile device cover.

  • Publication number: 20190341956
Abstract: A battery in a mobile phone cover for use with a mobile phone is used to charge a battery in the mobile phone according to a first battery parameter and a second battery parameter. If an application running on the mobile phone determines that a sensed parameter has fallen below a first battery parameter, then the application causes the battery of the mobile phone cover to charge the battery in the mobile phone until the sensed parameter reaches or exceeds the second battery parameter. The mobile phone cover also provides a notification on its display, for example, of an event (e.g., missed call, calendar alert, received message, etc.) when the event occurs on the mobile phone.

  • Patent number: 10387900
Abstract: An apparatus has a memory with processor-executable instructions and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The apparatus receives datasets including time series data points that are descriptive of a feature of a given entity. The processor determines a time series characteristic based on the data content, and selects, based on the determined characteristic, a set of entrant forecasting models from a pool of forecasting models stored in the memory. Next, the processor trains each entrant forecasting model with the time series data points to produce a set of trained entrant forecasting models. The processor executes each trained entrant forecasting model to generate a set of forecasted values indicating estimations of the feature of the given entity. Thereafter the processor selects at least one forecasting model from the set of trained entrant forecasting models based on computed accuracy evaluations performed over the set of forecasted values.

  • Publication number: 20190078723
Abstract: An applicator machine and a process for heating and coating a section of pipeline. The applicator machine includes a frame configured to rotate about a section of pipeline to be heated and coated, rotating means operable to rotate the frame, and coating material applicators induction coils and radiant heaters mounted on the frame and rotatable therewith. The induction coil is configured to heat a section of pipeline adjacent to the induction coil to a coating material application temperature. The radiant heaters are configured to heat factory-applied coatings. Each coating material applicator sprays coating material through an aperture in a respective induction coil. The applicator includes an enclosure configured to surround a section of pipeline and provision for evacuating and collecting waste coating material. The coating material applicator may be configured to spray powder coating material, such as fusion bonded epoxy powder material and/or chemically modified polypropylene powder material.
