  • Publication number: 20130341889
Abstract: A splitboard (90) having a first ski (92L) releasably attachable to a second ski (92R) and operable in a snowboard mode and in a ski mode. Corresponding toe brackets (140) are attached to the first and second skis. A pair of forward slider blocks (130) and a pair of rear slider blocks (130) are attached to the first and second skis. Left and right bindings (100L, 100R) include front hook portions (116) configured to releasably engage the corresponding toe brackets. The bindings are configured to slidably engage the forward and rear slider blocks in snowboard mode. Pull loops (120) are pivotable between a lock position, wherein a blocking portion (123) of the pull loop extends through an aperture in the binding to engage the slider block in the lock position. A heel stop (112) extends down from the binding to limit the forward slide of the binding.

  • Publication number: 20130104355
Abstract: A lever and rack-type fastener assembly for sports footwear includes a lever assembly having a hooking member that is movably between an open position and a closed position for securing the footwear about the user's foot or ankle. A conformable segmented rack assembly is configured to engage the hook member. The segmented rack assembly includes a flexible cable, and a plurality of rack segments that is fixedly attached to the cable, wherein the cable provides a hinged joint between adjacent rack segments. Each of the rack segments includes a plurality of teeth. In some embodiments, an attachment plate clamps the rack members to the cable, in other embodiments, the rack members are formed with a crimpable channel for fixing the rack members to the cable.

  • Publication number: 20120096720
Abstract: A climbing skin offset cutter (100, 200) includes a main body (102, 202) defining an arm (104, 204) defining a first running surface (105, 205) configured to slidably engage a lateral edge of a ski, and a second running surface (115, 215) configured to slidably overlie a climbing skin during trimming. A support wall (106, 206) supports a blade (130, 230) that is angled inwardly such that the blade cutting edge is offset from the first running surface by 1 to 6 millimeters. The first running surface positions the blade cutting edge during use, and the second running surface holds the climbing skin against the ski. No portion of the offset cutter is disposed significantly between the ski and the climbing skin inboard from the offset cutting location.

  • Patent number: 7455595
Abstract: A golf training aid is adapted to be worn by a golfer. When worn, the golf training aid includes a forearm support secured to the leading forearm of the golfer. Rotatively mounted to the forearm support is an arm that extends past the hands of the golfer. Secured by the remote end of the arm is a shaft retainer that receives and holds the golf club shaft while the golf club is gripped and held by the golfer. The arm extending from the forearm support to the shaft retainer permits rotation of the arm about a first axis, but generally prevents or limits movement of the arm except about the first axis. The restrictions to movement imposed by the arm generally prevent the golfer from flipping his hands during the impact portion of the swing. That is, during the impact portion of the swing at least, the back of the leading hand remains generally fixed with respect to the adjacent forearm.

  • Publication number: 20070084874
Abstract: A collapsible storage device having an opening for inserting products therein, and a lower portion that provides support and access to the lower product, allowing a user to draw the lower product when needed. As the lower product is drawn, the stored products automatically shift down, replenishing a lower most position for subsequent product withdrawal. The collapsible storage device comprises at least one suspension device, facilitating easy suspension and removal of the device. The collapsible storage device is made from pliable material or incorporates crease lines such that when it is empty, it can be collapsed down to a small shape and transported or stowed away until subsequent use.
