Patent number: 12271943Abstract: A system and method of providing real time account information for financial accounts is disclosed. The system includes an event based architecture including an event stream. Financial transaction processing systems publish transaction events to the event stream. A transaction service listening to the event stream detects new transaction events. The transaction service takes action to enrich transaction data. A middleware system reconciles existing transactions and persists transaction records in long term storage. The system can retrieve real time enriched transaction data to calculate account summary information, including current account balances and projected future account balances. The system can also be used to provide real time notifications to customers using enriched transaction data.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2023Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Jason Paul Hendry, Rodney Kalich, Randall Martin Brandt, Marco Aldo Jimenez, David Perry

Patent number: 12241896Abstract: Apparatus and methods for the detection of proteins in biological fluids such as urine using a label-free assay is described. Specific proteins are detected by their binding to highly specific capture reagents such as SOMAmers that are attached to the surface of a substrate. Changes to these capture reagents and their local environment upon protein binding modify the behavior of color centers (e.g., fluorescence, ionization state, spin state, etc.) embedded in the substrate beneath the bound capture reagents. These changes can be read out, for example, optically or electrically, for an individual color center or as an average response of many color centers.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2023Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: SomaLogic Operating Co., Inc.Inventors: Jason Paul Cleveland, Karoly Holczer, Barry Patrick John Vant-Hull

Patent number: 12237198Abstract: Various examples include a substrate pre-aligner system that can align substrates by detecting a fiducial on the substrate, determine an amount of bow in the substrate, and determine other characteristics of the substrate. In one example, by imaging both a 0-degree orientation and after a single 180-degree rotation of the substrate, the pre-aligner of the disclosed subject-matter can determine, for example, a location of the fiducial and bow in the substrate. In other embodiments, multiple cameras are used to capture images of the substrate substantially simultaneously and determine, for example, a location of the fiducial and bow in the substrate. The multiple camera embodiment can also allow a higher throughput of substrates as compared with the 0-degree to 180-degree embodiment. Other systems and methods are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2022Date of Patent: February 25, 2025Assignee: Onto Innovation Inc.Inventors: Jason Paul Remillard, Neil Casa, Stephen W. Into

Patent number: 12184780Abstract: The present embodiments relate to establishing secure data communication using an Elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellman ephemeral (ECDHE) key agreement procedure. Devices in a network environment can utilize a key agreement procedure to establish secure communication between multiple application layers in a micro service architecture. Particularly, a tunnel can be established between a mobile device and an encryption service by transmitting key information between the mobile device and the encryption service. This can allow for encryption keys to only be accurately generated by the mobile device and encryption service. Accordingly, intermediary nodes may be unable to decrypt the data, allowing for safe and secure transport of sensitive data.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2023Date of Patent: December 31, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Jason Paul Hendry, Zachary Curtis Wade, Daniel Thane Davidson, Patrick Joseph O'Neal, Justin Armstrong Leonard

Patent number: 12157681Abstract: A method of removing organic carbon and other contaminants from a water stream. The method comprises screening large solids from the stream. Pre-oxidation chemicals may then be added. A coagulant is fed into the stream. An activated carbon, preferably formed from lignite, is added by pumping a highly concentrated activated carbon slurry into the stream. The stream, including the activated carbon and coagulant, next flows into a clarifier, where the coagulant will flocculate and enmesh the activated carbon. The activated carbon adsorbs organic carbon and other contaminants, including bacteria, pharmacological agents, and hydrocarbons, as the stream flows through the clarifier. Eventually, the flocculate will agglomerate and settle out in the clarifier, where it, the enmeshed carbon, and the contaminants they contain may be removed. The stream's organic carbon content exiting the clarifier will be much reduced. Accordingly, less primary oxidizing agent will be needed to treat any remaining organic carbon.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2021Date of Patent: December 3, 2024Assignee: KINETIX PERFORMANCE SOLUTIONS, LLCInventors: Jason Paul Danos, Steven Leslie Parrish, Dondi Charles Troxler
