  • Patent number: 11710952
Abstract: The present disclosure provides descriptions of electrical box assemblies for supporting heavy fixtures, such as ceiling fans, and facilitating electrical connections to the fixtures. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box that allows a connection between the box and electrical conduits and a connection, e.g., a weatherproof connection, with a housing of the fixture. The box has an open front face to house electrical connections between the fixture and wires supplying electrical power to the box via the conduits. The box has a bottom wall and an open front face. A reinforcement member fits within the electrical box and includes a panel shaped to conform to at least a portion of the bottom wall and one or more standoffs extending toward the open front face of the box. When the reinforcement member is positioned within the box, mounting holes in the bottom wall of the box and reinforcement member are aligned to allow the box to be attached to a building structure.

  • Patent number: 11693505
Abstract: Various implementations include a switch assembly that includes a housing and at least two printed circuit boards (PCBs) that are disposed within the housing and are axially arranged relative to each other. One or more force sensors are disposed on one of the PCBs, and, in some implementations, the one or more force sensors receive force input received by a touch overlay plate. Signals from the force sensors are processed to determine a magnitude, acceleration, and/or location of the force input, and a haptic feedback response is received by the touch overlay plate. The haptic feedback response is based on the force magnitude, acceleration, and/or location of input, according to some implementations. Axially arranging the PCBs reduces the footprint of the switch assembly and allows for the inclusion of more electrical components in the switch assembly, according to some implementations.

  • Publication number: 20230190531
Abstract: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems and methods for operating the systems are disclosed. In some embodiments, a system includes a negative pressure source, a sensor, and a controller. The negative pressure source can provide negative pressure via a fluid flow path to the wound dressing. The sensor can monitor pressure in the fluid flow path. The controller can determine whether the wound dressing is coupled to a wound from a change in magnitude of pressure in the fluid flow path over time being more indicative of a steady state condition than a chaotic condition while the negative pressure source maintains negative pressure in the fluid flow path within a pressure range. In addition, the controller can output a first indication denoting that the wound dressing is coupled to the wound and a second indication denoting that the wound dressing is not coupled to the wound.

  • Patent number: 11677758
Abstract: Techniques for minimizing data flow from a first computing infrastructure hosting an email service platform to a second computing infrastructure at least partly hosting an email security platform that provides security analysis on emails of the email service. The email security platform may extract metadata from emails received at the first computing infrastructure, and send that metadata to the second computing infrastructure that is hosting a back end of the email service platform. The metadata extracted from the emails may include less confidential contained in an email, but enough information for the email security platform to determine whether an email is potentially malicious. Thus, the security analysis performed on emails to detect malicious attacks may be offloaded to the second computing infrastructure, but the metadata that leaves the first computing infrastructure and flows to the second computing infrastructure may be minimized by extracting meaningful metadata.

  • Publication number: 20230033840
Abstract: A system and method for implementation of an improved weld pattern for the retention of straps to a face mask, configured to maintain maximum strength of the strap(s) without the use of glue or complete encapsulation via fabric welds. Proximal welds are positioned above and below ends of the straps without contacting the strap itself. The proximal welds are horizontal welds along the primary axis of the straps. The proximal welds are configured to reinforce primary vertical welds disposed along the very ends of the straps. A strip of weldable material is disposed atop the ends of the straps to facilitate the implementation of the horizontal and vertical welds.

  • Patent number: 11553391
Abstract: In a wireless User Equipment (UE), a serving radio wirelessly exchanges data with a serving cell over a serving radio band. The wireless UE wirelessly receives serving signaling that indicates serving uplink interference for the serving radio band at the serving cell. A neighbor radio in the UE wirelessly receives neighbor signaling. UE circuitry determines serving signal strength and the serving uplink interference for the serving cell. The UE circuitry determines neighbor signal strength for the neighbor cell. The UE circuitry compares the serving uplink interference and the serving signal strength to the neighbor signal strength, and in response, generates a handover request for the neighbor cell. The serving radio wirelessly transfers the handover request to the serving cell, and in response, the neighbor radio wirelessly exchanges additional data with the neighbor cell over the neighbor radio band.
