Abstract: A scuff and mar-resistant paint composition includes a base paint formulation and a slip additive dispersed in the base paint formulation. Characteristically, the slip additive has a surface energy less than about 30 mJ/m2. Advantageously, the slip additive being in a sufficient amount such that slip resistance of a coating formed from the scuff and mar-resistant paint composition is decreased compared to a coating formed from the base paint formulation. A method of upgrading a manufactured base paint formulation is also provided.

Abstract: A fishing float including a buoyant body. The buoyant body may include an upper portion having a general shape of one of a toy, character, or animal; and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion extends from a bottom of the upper portion and is generally ovular in shape, and wherein the upper portion and the lower portion are shaped and configured together such that when floating in water at least a portion of the upper portion is visible above the water. The fishing float may further include a mechanism for adjustably securing the buoyant body to a fishing line.

Abstract: An abrasive tool comprising of a base portion (2), having a foam layer (3) affixed to the abrasive tool base portion, and a plastic film layer (4) affixed, bonded or glued to the foam layer. This tool is adapted to receive an abrasive material layer (5) or sand paper or other abrasive material having a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to one side of the abrasive material, to allow said abrasive material to be stuck and affixed to the abrasive tool. The abrasive tool may be hand operated, or operated by electric power, air power, or other motive power.

Abstract: An abrasive holder has a moulded base for a pad of a closed cell foam or cork. The support has a handle for finger and thumb operation. The pad is glued to the base and supports a peel-off piece of abrasive cloth or paper having an adhesive face. The holder is for fine work or working in contact with glass. The pad prevents scratching while permitting surface preparation up to the glass border. Acrylic emulsion adhesives and foam densities of 30-200 kg.backslash.m.sup.3 are disclosed.
