  • Patent number: 11471881
Abstract: The disclosure describes methods and devices with which to process and analyze difficult chemical, biological, environmental samples including but not limited to those containing bulk solids or particulates. The disclosure includes a cartridge which contains a separation tube as well as one or more valves and cavities for receiving raw sample materials and for directing and containing various fluids or samples. The cartridge may contain a separation fluid or density medium of defined density, and structures which direct particulates toward defined regions of the cartridge. Embodiments can include a rotational device for rotating the cartridge at defined rotational rates for defined time intervals. Embodiments allowing multiple assays from a single sample are also disclosed. In some embodiments, this device is used for direct processing and chemical analysis of food, soil, blood, stool, motor oil, semen, and other samples of interest.

  • Publication number: 20220057914
Abstract: The illustrated augmented reality system (400) includes user devices (402), a system platform (404), advertiser platforms (406), and third-party databases (408). The user devices (402) overlay virtual application objects on the display (410) of real-world digital images from a camera (438). The user can then manipulate the user device (402) to target application objects of interest. Upon targeting of an application object, an account of the user can be credited, for example, with a coupon value or discount value. Such value can be realized upon a conversion event such as a website visit or product purchase. The third-party databases (408) can be used to target application objects to desired users and to analyze the effectiveness of a campaign.

  • Patent number: 8973406
Abstract: Melters for glass forming apparatuses and glass forming apparatuses comprising the same are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a melter for melting glass batch materials includes a base portion and a rigid exoskeleton rigidly attached to the base portion and comprising a plurality of upright members interconnected with a plurality of cross members defining an exoskeleton interior volume. Connection nodes formed at intersections of the plurality of cross members with upper ends of the plurality of upright members are constrained from movement relative to the base portion in a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction, and a vertical direction. A tank assembly is positioned on the base portion in the exoskeleton interior volume and coupled to the rigid exoskeleton. In some embodiments, the melter has a dynamic resistance greater than 0.3.
