  • Publication number: 20140084562
Abstract: A wheelchair transit bracket assembly is provided and includes a clamp configured for attachment to a portion of a wheelchair frame. A pivot is attached to the clamp and is configured for rotation relative to the clamp. The pivot is configured for attachment to a tie-down assembly. The tie-down assembly is configured to secure the wheelchair to a vehicle during transit. A belt bracket is attached to the pivot and is configured for rotation relative to the pivot. The belt bracket is configured for attachment to a lap belt thereby forming a lap belt assembly. The lap belt assembly is configured to secure an occupant to the wheelchair during transit. In an installed position, the wheelchair transit bracket assembly is configured to transfer forces generated by the wheelchair and wheelchair occupant from the lap belt assembly to the tie-down assembly without introducing the forces to the wheelchair frame.

  • Publication number: 20090096180
Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a low-profile clamping system generally includes first and second elongate supports engageable with an edge portion of a sheet material for supporting at least part of the sheet material against bending. A fastener can releasably couple the first and second elongate supports to the edge portion of the sheet material. The first and second elongate supports define a channel for receiving the edge portion of the sheet material into the channel when supporting the sheet material. In another exemplary embodiment, an apparatus for transporting a sheet material generally includes a frame, at least one wheel coupled to the frame for allowing rolling movement of the frame, and an adjustable vice coupled to the frame for securing a sheet material in the vice on the frame.

  • Publication number: 20090053357
Abstract: This application is directed to a corn-based feed component formed from a combination of corn components. The feed components described herein generally include at least about 75 percent by weight of a combination of corn components. Generally, the corn components of the feed products are low in starch as compared to whole kernel corn, and are thus somewhat enriched in bran and germ (as determined, for example, on a dry mass basis). Typically, such feed components have a glycemic response comparable to that of rolled oats, thereby providing a source of energy that is safer than corn, and equally as safe as oats and high fat rice bran.
