  • Publication number: 20240292136
Abstract: A speaker system can include a first moving mass, such as a diaphragm, coupled to a fixed frame via a first non-rigid suspension and coupled to a voice coil. The speaker system can include a second moving mass, such as a motor assembly, coupled to the fixed frame. The speaker system can include a passive radiator coupled to the fixed frame via a second non-rigid suspension. The motor assembly and the diaphragm are configured to move in response to an audio drive signal, causing a pressure to be generated and a first force to be generated on the fixed frame. The fixed frame is configured so that the pressure is shunted to the first passive radiator that is configured to generate a second force in response to the shunted pressure causing a second force on the fixed frame that cancels at least a portion of the first force.

  • Publication number: 20240283444
Abstract: A circuit may be configured to reduce current leakage. The circuit may include a bias generator, a charge interface, and a charge controller. The bias generator may be coupled to a first voltage source and configured to generate a first current and provide a first voltage. The charge interface may be communicatively coupled to the bias generator and configured to mirror the first current into a second current. The charge controller may be communicatively coupled to the charge interface and configured to receive the second current from the charge interface and provide a second voltage. The bias generator may be further configured to perform an ultra-low leakage switching operation in which the first voltage is switched to a third voltage while reducing a first possibility of band-band tunneling leakage at the charge interface.

  • Publication number: 20240284096
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a speaker system that uses a single driver that results in both force and moment canceling. The speaker system can be mounted within a structure, such as a head mounted display. The speaker system includes a first moving mass, including a sound-producing diaphragm, connected by a primary suspension to a floating basket. The floating basket is both coupled to a second moving mass that controls a voice coil, inducing voice coil movement to produce sound via the diaphragm. A secondary suspension can couple the suspended basket and a fixed frame. The secondary suspension can reduce shaking and contamination generated by the magnet core/motor assembly from seeping into the fixed frame and subsequently to other connected components.

  • Publication number: 20240236556
Abstract: A speaker system includes a fixed frame, a voice coil and a first moving mass that includes a diaphragm. The first moving mass is coupled to the fixed frame via a non-rigid primary suspension and coupled to the voice coil. The speaker system further includes a second moving mass that includes a motor assembly and is coupled to the fixed frame via a non-rigid secondary suspension. The diaphragm is configured to move in response to an audio drive signal, applied via the motor assembly, which asserts a force on the voice coil. A first force, on the motor assembly caused by applying the audio drive signal and pushing the voice coil, is canceled by a second force on the moving motor assembly from the non-rigid secondary suspension.

  • Publication number: 20240094186
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for localizing magnets are useful for biological tissue analysis and other applications. Tissue analysis systems for use with a tissue analysis device may include a storage medium storing computer readable instructions that cause the execution of magnet localization methods. The system may include the tissue analysis device, which includes a magnet and a magnetometer array disposed adjacent to the magnet. When executed by a processor, the instructions cause operations, including recording a magnetic field of the magnet with the magnetometer array, simulating a simulated magnetic field at each magnetometer of the magnetometer array, and estimating positional information of the magnet based upon iterating simulated positional information of the simulated magnet.

Abstract: A microphone assembly for providing improved directivity at high and low frequencies is disclosed. The microphone assemblies comprise two waveguides each having a microphone, a high-frequency port, and a low-frequency port. The two waveguides are arranged adjacent to each other so that the two low-frequency ports are arranged at a first distance apart from each other and so that the two high-frequency ports are arranged at a second distance apart from each other. The microphone assemblies may comprise two additional waveguides of different length than the first two waveguides, where the two additional waveguides also have low frequency ports and high frequency ports. When the four waveguides are arranged adjacent to each other, all the low-frequency ports are at one distance from each other and all the high-frequency ports are at another distance from each other.

  • Patent number: 10484774
Abstract: An acoustic transducer with an acoustic element that emits or receives front-side acoustic radiation from its front side, and emits or receives rear-side acoustic radiation from its rear side. A housing directs the front-side acoustic radiation and the rear-side acoustic radiation. A plurality of sound-conducting vents in the housing allow sound to enter the housing or allow sound to leave the housing. A distance between vents defines an effective length of an acoustic dipole. The housing and its vents are constructed and arranged such that the effective dipole length is frequency dependent.
