  • Patent number: 9509673
Abstract: Content stored on a server may be selected using a user device and enabled on a central device. The identity of the central device may be authenticated without transmitting user credentials corresponding to the user, user device, user account, etc. A central device identifier can be sent to the server via the user device. An encrypted version of the central device identifier may be returned to the user device and to the central device. The central device can send the encrypted and unencrypted version of the identifier to the server, and the server can transmit the desired content to the remote device based on a comparison of the encrypted and unencrypted identifier.

  • Publication number: 20140222806
Abstract: A method and system for matching users of a network, such as a language learning network, employs user profile data to determine point match scores and/or compatibility match scores between users of the network such as a social network. A point match score is a measure of strength for a single interest that two users share. A compatibility match score is an aggregate measure of similarity of multiple interests that two users share. When a first user asks the system to propose another user or users for interaction, the system uses the point match scores, compatibility match scores, or both to determine which additional users to recommend to the first user. The system may present the first user with a profile for each recommended user. The first user may select one of the recommended users and engage in interaction, such as language skills learning or practice, with that user via a text, audio and/or video interface.

  • Patent number: 6760921
Abstract: The present invention provides a unitary moisture-absorbing and element-protective article that includes a poncho-shaped sheet and hood nondetachably connected to the sheet. The poncho-shaped sheet includes at least one layer, and has an opening that permits the head and neck of the person wearing the article to extend therethrough. The sheet is drapable over the wearer in a standing position, and rests on the shoulders. The hood is shaped to cover the head, neck and hair of the person when positioned thereon. When not worn, an important attribute of the article is that it may be opened to a flat covering that, when disposed upon the surface of the ground, is suitable for a person to recline thereon.
