Abstract: A system includes a first object having a coupler to couple the first object to a second object; a first switch disposed on a first portion of the first object; a second switch disposed on a second portion on an exterior of the first object, and electrically and commutatively connected to the first switch to form an electric circuit, the second switch being arranged at a predetermined distance from the coupler; the second object disposed away from the first object and within a distance in relation to the second switch, the second object include a mating portion to couple with the coupler to connect the first object with the second object; and a third object disposed between the first object and the second object, and arranged at a corresponding predetermined distance from the mating portion to contact and close the second switch when the coupler and the mating portion are aligned for coupling the first object and the second object, and when the first object and the second object are moved together.

Abstract: A needleless access vial includes a vial body for storing a liquid medication. A needleless access port is disposed within an opening along the top of the vial body. A valve having a deformable body is positioned within the access port housing, and is in communication with the access port inlet section and the access port outlet section. The valve is biased toward a closed configuration, and transitions to an open configuration upon engagement of the outlet section by a needleless syringe.

Abstract: A method for determining ambient air temperature outside of a vehicle with a sensor mounted on the vehicle, includes the steps of determining a road speed of the vehicle, comparing the determined road speed to a reference road speed value, if the determined road speed is below the reference road speed value, activating a device to move ambient air across the sensor, the ambient air being drawn from a location outside the vehicle, taking a temperature reading with the sensor, and, if the temperature reading is lower than a stored temperature value, storing the lower temperature reading as the ambient air temperature.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) tool is presented to a user for interacting with an underlying database. The GUI tool includes a field selection and attribute selections for the field. The user selects a field and an attribute for that field and is presented with a first list of values retrieved from the database for the selected attribute. Next, the user selects a filter for the attribute within the GUI tool and a second reduced list of values is presented to the user within the GUI tool representing the filtered first list of values acquired by applying the filter.

Logical operator ordering is maintained within each sub search combination and each sub search combination is processed to acquire a waterfall count for the resulting answer set associated with processing that sub search combination. The sub search combinations and their waterfall counts are then presented to the user for visual inspection and analysis.

Abstract: A mold assembly, a method of molding, and a molded component for an interior of a vehicle using two shots of material. The mold assembly includes first and second mold halves cooperating to define a cavity. One of the mold halves includes a retractable core. The second mold half defines a divider for engaging the retractable core, when the retractable core is extended, so as to divide the mold cavity into first and second chambers. Portions of the core cooperate to define a sloped surface on the first shot that aids in inhibiting flash forming as the second shot is introduced into the mold assembly.

Abstract: A system for holding a portable computer device is provided. The system includes a platform configured to hold the portable computer device. Also, a port replicator is provided that replicates one or more computer ports of the portable computing device. The port replicator is configured to attach to the platform. In this embodiment, the port replicator may be connected to the portable computing device such that the ports of the port replicator may be used to connect to peripheral devices instead of the ports of the portable computing device. Thus, the ports of the port replicator act as if they were ports of the portable computing device. Additionally, the port replicator is configured to be detached from the platform. The port replicator, in this embodiment, can be used to support the portable computing device when the portable computing device is not being held by the platform. Accordingly, the port replicator may be used as a stand for the portable computing device.
