  • Publication number: 20160337548
Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing and sharing content are disclosed. Including capturing content data related to a scene via an image capturing device. Further including, capturing identifying data from a beacon via a sensor associated with the image capturing device wherein the identifying data identifies an artifact in the scene. Further including, binding the identifying data to the content data at the image capturing device such that the artifact may be subsequently identified in the content data. Further including, sending the identifying data and the content data, bound together, to a content server.

  • Publication number: 20160302818
Abstract: A surgical apparatus includes a body assembly, a shaft, an acoustic waveguide, an articulation section, an end effector, and a rigidizing member. The shaft extends distally from the body assembly and defines a longitudinal axis. The acoustic waveguide includes a flexible portion. The articulation section is coupled with the shaft. A portion of the articulation section encompasses the flexible portion of the waveguide. The articulation section includes a first member and a second member. The second member is longitudinally translatable relative to the first member. The end effector includes an ultrasonic blade in acoustic communication with the waveguide. The rigidizing member is configured to selectively engage at least a portion of the articulation section to thereby selectively provide rigidity to the articulation section.

  • Patent number: 8048138
Abstract: An endoluminal prosthetic delivery system provides a delivery sheath possessing a yield strength capable of allowing implantation of the prosthesis with increased efficiency. An endoluminal prosthesis is inserted in a body in a radially compressed condition, and expanded at an implantation site, whereby a delivery sheath or the prosthesis itself possesses a yield strength sufficient to allow radial expansion of the prosthesis. A method of implanting an endoluminal prosthesis is also herein provided.

  • Publication number: 20100267361
Abstract: A monitoring device and system capable of tracking, monitoring and locating a person allows a parent, guardian or supervisor to set inclusive and exclusive limits, permanently or temporally. The device includes a GPS receiver and a cellphone integrated into a band capable of being locked on a limb of person to be monitored. A child armband may have antitamper devices included in the band that prevents its removal and automatically sends alerts if the band is removed. An alert may be initiated and delivered by the system when the device leaves a temporal inclusion zone or when the device strays into an exclusion zone. The device may have an alarm capable of being activated by an authorized agent at a time when the authorities are within ear shot of the alarm. The antennas may be housed within cavities in the band and the electronics for the GPS receiver and wireless communication device may be contained within tamper resistant housing.

  • Publication number: 20080013270
Abstract: The present invention features a non-peripherals-based processing control unit having an encasement module that is very small and durable compared to conventional computer encasement structures. The process control unit is capable of being incorporated into various devices and/or environments, of accepting applied and impact loads, of functioning as a load bearing structure, as well as being able to be processed coupled together with one or more processing control units to provide scaled processing power. The processing control unit of the present invention further features a unique method of cooling using natural convection, as well as utilizing known cooling means, such as liquid or thermoelectric cooling.
