  • Patent number: 11678137
Abstract: A contact and ranging system includes a first device that includes a first transceiver, a second transceiver, and a controller to control the first transceiver and the second transceiver of the first device. The first device is operable to determine a distance between the first device and a second device. The first transceiver is configured to perform a discovery operation. Other devices are discovered and added to a list of paired devices. A ranging schedule for each paired device in the list of paired devices is determined. The second transceiver is configured to perform a ranging operation. The ranging and response transmissions are transmitted and received by a pair of devices, such that a range between the pair of devices is determined based upon a time of flight between the pair of devices. The range between the pair of devices is matched with a timestamp and stored in a database.

  • Patent number: 11103072
Abstract: A seating arrangement to be used on a floor includes a support assembly and a seat assembly with a top surface. The support assembly includes a top plate, a bottom plate, a compressible elastic member between the top and bottom plates, and a fastener assembly connecting the top and bottom plates. A diameter of the compressible elastic member is greater than or equal to 40% of a diameter or a length of a diagonal of the top surface of the seat assembly. In response to offset weight placed on the seat assembly, the compressible elastic member selectively compresses causing the seat assembly to axially tilt in substantially any direction such that a plane of the seat assembly tilts downward from a neutral position substantially parallel to the floor, and decompress to the neutral position, in response to the offset weight removed from the seat assembly.

  • Publication number: 20120155066
Abstract: Embodiments of a lighted memorial are provided. In one embodiment, the lighted memorial may include one or more light sources for illuminating information regarding a deceased, for example, a name, date of birth and date of death. The information regarding the deceased may be placed on a monument, and the light sources may be mounted in, on or adjacent to a base to illuminate the information on the monument. In another embodiment, the information regarding the deceased may be formed in a lens positioned above the light source so that the light source may provide back lighting for the lens. In another embodiment, the light source and lens may be positioned above a housing for containing the cremated remains of a deceased. The remains housing, light source and lens may be mounted at least partially within a base.
