  • Patent number: 12279130
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for upgrading sites of a communication network are provided. Operational information of network functions within a communication network are tracked within a data repository. An upgrade ruleset is defined for identifying sites within a communication network to upgrade. The operational information, the upgrade ruleset, and model rules generated by a model for a set of candidate sites are processed to generate a positive list of sites to upgrade and a negative list of sites to not upgrade. The negative list of sites and criteria used to determine that the negative list of sites are not being upgraded are provided such as to a user. An upgrade process is performed to upgrade the sites within the positive list of sites.

  • Patent number: 12267205
Abstract: In some implementations, a first device may receive, from a second device, network function (NF) configuration information indicating that an NF instance is to be provisioned to support a combination of network slices. The NF configuration information may include first network slice information regarding the first network slice and second network slice information regarding the second network slice. The first device may obtain, from a data structure, first slice configuration information associated with the NF instance supporting the first network slice and second slice configuration information associated with the NF instance supporting the second network slice. The first device may generate configuration parameters to provision the NF instance to support the combination of network slices and provide the configuration parameters to cause the NF instance to be provisioned to support the combination of network slices.

  • Publication number: 20240430721
Abstract: In an example, an indication of one or more first network performance tests associated with a first testing computer and/or an indication of one or more second network performance tests associated with a second testing computer may be provided to a User Equipment (UE). One or more first test results of the one or more first network performance tests and/or one or more second test results of the one or more second network performance tests may be received. One or more first network performance metrics may be determined based upon the one or more first test results. One or more second network performance metrics may be determined based upon the one or more second test results. A network performance issue is determined based upon a comparison of one or more reference metrics with the one or more first network performance metrics and/or the one or more second network performance metrics.

  • Patent number: 12058595
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide deployment optimization service. A network device in a network receives an order for virtual network function (VNF) deployments at network edge locations. The network device maps a radio access network (RAN) topology for the network edge locations. The network device identifies time windows to perform the VNF deployments, based on the order, historical transport and RAN utilization data, and the RAN topology. The network device selects an optimal time window to perform the VNF deployments based on stored policy rules and pushes software images for the VNF deployments to an image repository in a geographical region near the network edge locations. The network device analyzes, for the optimal time window, real-time network data for a pre-emptive condition. The network device pre-empts the VNF deployments when a pre-emptive condition is identified and initiates the VNF deployments when no pre-emptive condition is identified.

  • Publication number: 20240171545
Abstract: A method, a network device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described in relation to a secure operations, administration, and management (OAM) for remote networks service. The service may categorize performance metric (PM), fault metric (FM) data, and other types of data associated with a virtualized network device of a private network and provide such data to an OAM system of an operator network via a blockchain network or not based on the categorization. The OAM system may also manage orchestration and maintenance of the private network including the virtualized network device based on configuration data transmitted via the blockchain network or not. The virtualized network device may be a radio access network device, a core network device, or an edge server device. The secure OAM for remote networks service may also store service assurance policies as a smart contract in the blockchain network.

  • Publication number: 20240080369
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide life cycle management for physical network function (PNFs) via an orchestrator using PNF proxies. A network device in a service provider network receives a software package for a virtual network function (VNF) serving as PNF proxy for a type of PNF. The software package includes a proxy descriptor and external virtual links (VLs) for the type of PNF. The network device associates, an instance of the PNF proxy with an installed PNF, creates the instance of the PNF proxy as a VNF in a cloud platform, and provides a record of the created instance of the PNF proxy to an active inventory system.

  • Patent number: 5548541
Abstract: A finite impulse response (FIR) filter is provided for shaping a one bit serial digital data pulse train in a digital data transmission system. The filter comprises (i) a delay element for sequentially receiving binary data bits in the data pulse train at fixed data cycle intervals and outputting simultaneously in parallel a plurality n of data bits representing a most recent history of the past n data bits received by the delay element during the past n data cycle intervals; (ii) a sampling element for sampling the data pulse train at a rate of m samples per bit, and (iii) a memory device having at least (n 30 m) address lines for providing at least 2.sup.(n+m) address locations. The n data bits and m samples provide an input to the address lines, the memory device in response providing a specific precomputed and stored output value for each possible combination of address line inputs.
