    Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for forming charcoal from coffee grounds is provided, which includes pyrolyzing coffee grounds to form pyrolyzed coffee grounds. The pyrolyzed coffee grounds are mixed with a binding agent to form a mixture. The mixture is pressed into a charcoal cube. In another embodiment charcoal formed from coffee grounds is provided including pyrolyzed coffee grounds and a binding agent. The pyrolyzed coffee grounds are mixed with the binding agent and pressed into a charcoal cube.
