    Abstract: A bird decoy comprises a body and at least two appendages extending from the body. The appendages can be shaped to approximate an appearance of a wing of a bird. Each appendage can have at least two distinct moveable members, each of which is independently controllable relative to the other. An associated method of luring a live bird to a predetermined location comprises positioning the bird decoy in the vicinity of the predetermined location. The method further includes independently acting, in one or more defined sequences, movement of the body and movement of the at least two appendage to replicate the appearance of a live bird.
