  • Publication number: 20230254404
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing mobile call authentication. For instance, a token indicative of a call request can be received from a calling party. The token can include a called party number and a time of the request. A subscriber database can be accessed to determine identifying information associated with the calling party based at least in part on the token. The token can be authenticated based at least in part on the identifying information and using one or more predefined authentication protocols. The token can be stored in a call session registry storing data indicative of a plurality of active telephone call events. A verification request for the call request can be received from the called party. The call request can be verified based at least in part on the token. • Publication number: 20220377170
Abstract: An approach is described for facilitating an outbound call from a calling party and a called party by displaying specific information on the communication device of the called party. The displayed specific information is based on a communication characteristic of the called party, where the communication characteristic includes a language characteristic of the called party. Based on language characteristic of the called party, customized display content is provided to the communications device of the called party, on or prior to the called party being alerted to the requested communication. The customized display content improves the answer rate and the conversion rate of the outbound call.

  • Publication number: 20220182352
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing optimal branded content to end consumers. The approach takes into account the different available branded display contents that are available, the different metrics that can drive choices, the technological parameters that can influence the provisioning of the branded display content. In addition, the preferences of the end consumer may also influence the provisioning of the branded display content.

  • Publication number: 20060209788
Abstract: A signaling processor receives signaling for a user communication and processes the signaling to select a first packet communication path and a second packet communication path. The signaling processor transfers messages indicating a TDM communication path, the first packet communication path, and the second packet communication path. An interworking unit interworks the user communication between the TDM communication path and the first packet communication path. A communication device routes the user communication from the first packet communication path to the second packet communication path.

  • Publication number: 20060034267
Abstract: A call routing system comprises a signaling processor with an internal cache memory. The signaling processor receives a signaling message and searches the cache memory with a called number to determine whether or not the called number has an associated location route number or if a query is required. If the query is required, the signaling processor transfers the query and receives a response that indicates whether or not the called number has the associated location route number. If the called number has the associated location route number, the signaling processor processes the location route number to select a connection. If the called number does not have the associated location route number, the signaling processor processes the called number to select the connection. If the response is received, the signaling processor updates the cache memory to indicate whether or not the called number has the associated location route number.

  • Publication number: 20040246978
Abstract: A processing system receives and processes telecommunication signaling for a user communication to determine a minimum bandwidth and a maximum bandwidth for the user communication. The processing system transfers control information indicating the minimum bandwidth and the maximum bandwidth for the user communication to a routing system. The routing system receives the control information and the user communication, and in response, transfers the user communication over a first communication path and a second communication path. The first communication path supports the minimum bandwidth, and the second communication path supports the maximum bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 6785377
Abstract: A first call processing system advantageously uses a constant bit rate connection and a variable bit rate connection to utilize the bandwidth for a data call. The first call processing system receives signaling for the data call. The first call processing system then processes the signaling to generate a first instruction to set up a constant bit rate connection for the data call between the first call processing system and a second call processing system. The first call processing system processes the signaling to generate a second instruction to set up a variable bit rate connection between the first call processing system and the second call processing system. Any bandwidth that the data call does not need and use can be utilized for other calls. Thus, the performance of other calls is improved.

  • Patent number: 6529595
Abstract: A second network such as an interexchange carrier advantageously identifies incorrect original number portability data from the first network such as a local telephone company and obtains new number portability data to prevent misrouted calls. The second network receives original number portability data from the first network. The second network determines whether to use the original number portability data from the first network for call routing. If the original number portability data from the first network is not used for call routing, the second network generates and transmits a query to obtain new number portability data for call routing. The second network receives the new number portability data for call routing in response to the query. The second network then generates and transmits a route instruction using the new number portability data.
