Publication number: 20240141471Abstract: A method of forming an Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coating on a steel strip includes dipping steel strip into a bath of molten Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy and forming a coating of the alloy on exposed surfaces of the steel strip. The method also includes controlling conditions in the molten coating bath and downstream of the coating bath so that there is a uniform Al/Zn ratio across the surface of the coating formed on the steel strip. An Al—Zn—Mg—Si coated steel strip includes a uniform Al/Zn ratio on the surface or the outermost 1-2 ?m of the Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coating.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Applicants: Bluescope Steel Limited, Nippon Steel Corporation, Nippon Steel Coated Sheet CorporationInventors: Wayne Andrew RENSHAW, Cat TU, Joe WILLIAMS, Jason HODGES, Shiro FUJII, Nobuyuki SHIMODA, Shuichi KONDO, Takashi HIRASAWA

Publication number: 20240094592Abstract: Disclosed herein is an integrated photonics device including an on-chip wavelength stability monitor. The wavelength stability monitor may include one or more interferometric components, such as Mach-Zehnder interferometers and can be configured to select among the output signals from the interferometric components for monitoring the wavelength emitted by a corresponding photonic component, such as a light source. The selection may be based on a slope of the output signal and in some examples may correspond to a working zone at or around a wavelength or wavelength range. In some examples, the interferometric components can be configured with different phase differences such that the corresponding working zones have different wavelengths. In some examples, the slopes of the output signals may be weighted based on the steepness of the slope and all of the output signals may include information for wavelength locking the measured wavelength to the target wavelength.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Yi-Kuei Wu, Jason Pelc, Mark Alan Arbore, Thomas C. Greening, Matthew A. Terrel, Yongming Tu, Mohamed Mahmoud

Patent number: 11922733Abstract: A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc.Inventors: Wei Hsu, Kevin Pasma, Zachary Keoki Hong, Jason Tu, Donnie Viajar, Ali Atash, Kevin Coleman

Patent number: 6369587Abstract: A pulse center detection circuit, which utilizes the characteristics of the comparator combined with its positive input terminal and negative input terminal during the charging and discharging process. Thus, the comparator can output a detected pulse center signal accurately. The pulse center detection circuit of the invention utilizes an analog differential circuit in order to decrease noise interference and the pulse center can be precisely detected. Thus, the invention can be broadly used for a monitor circuit design to detect a flyback pulse center and can also be used for a general periodic pulse which requires detection of its pulse center.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2000Date of Patent: April 9, 2002Assignee: Novatek Microelectronics Corp.Inventors: Jason Tu, Don.
