  • Patent number: 12134016
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a basketball backboard system and methods of assembly. The backboard system reduces and simplifies the number of steps for a user to take in assembling the system for play. The basketball system comprises a base, a vertical support assembly including a pole, a backboard extension arm, a backboard, and a rim. In some embodiments, the user only has to complete five attachments to fully assemble the system, including securing the vertical support assembly to the base, securing the backboard extension arm to the pole, mounting the backboard to the extension arm, and mounting the rim to the backboard. It is further contemplated that the system will be convenient to package, as the vertical support assembly may be designed to fully nest within the base to reduce product volume.

  • Patent number: 12109112
Abstract: A heart valve therapy system including a delivery device and a stented valve. The delivery device includes an outer sheath, an inner shaft, an optional hub assembly, and a plurality of tethers. In a delivery state, a stent frame of the prosthesis is crimped over the inner shaft and maintained in a compressed condition by the outer sheath. The tethers are connected to the stent frame. In a partial deployment state, the outer sheath is at least partially withdrawn, allowing the stent frame to self-expand. Tension in the tethers prevents the stent frame from rapidly expanding and optionally allowing recapture. Upon completion of the stent frame expansion, the tethers are withdrawn.

  • Publication number: 20240268687
Abstract: A controller is provided for calibrating an implantable pressure sensor. The controller includes an implantable pressure sensor configured to obtain characteristics of interest related to a patient, one or more processors, and a memory coupled to the one or more processors, wherein the memory stores program instructions. The program instructions are executable by the one or more processors to determine an implantable pressure sensor parameter in real time based on the characteristics of interest related to the patient and provide a drift threshold related to the implantable pressure sensor parameter. The one or more processors are also configured to determine whether the drift threshold has been exceeded based on the implantable pressure sensor parameter and communicate an alert in response to determining the drift threshold has been exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20240271708
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing a slide gate, involving providing a gate body with a first face and integrally forming an integral gate seal with the gate body through a hybrid manufacturing process. The hybrid manufacturing process includes depositing an additive material onto the first face of the gate body to create the integral gate seal, with the deposition carried out by a first machine. Subsequently, the integral gate seal is machined to achieve the desired size and shape, with the machining also performed by the same first machine. This method combines additive manufacturing and machining techniques to efficiently produce slide gates with integral gate seals of precise dimensions and configurations.

  • Patent number: 12036638
Abstract: In-line processes for producing scrubby substrates, and related scrubby substrate cleaning articles. The process may include melting a polymer resin material, and extruding or otherwise dispensing the molten polymer resin material through one or more orifices of a heated nozzle, into a stream of hot inert gas, which attenuates the molten resin, so that the resin forms into elongated globules (rather than fibers or filaments). Such globules may have irregular cross-section and/or irregular thickness along a length of the globules. Alternatively, the molten resin may be formed into substantially continuous or discontinuous string or chain pattern of abrasive fibers, exhibiting a high frequency, low amplitude substantially linear pattern on the base substrate. In either case the globules or abrasive fibers are collected onto at least a portion of a base substrate layer to form a scrubby substrate that is more abrasive than typical meltblown materials.
