  • Publication number: 20240311834
Abstract: Various measures to preserve privacy and to train neural network models are provided. A federated learning system comprises a payment decisioning server associated with a payment decisioning entity and a financial institution server associated with a financial institution. A transaction involves a customer of the financial institution. In an example method, the payment decisioning server transmits, to the financial institution server, a query relating to the customer. In the example method, the payment decisioning server receives, from the financial institution server, a response to the query, the response comprising an account embedding, the account embedding having been derived by the financial institution server using account information associated with the customer as input to a financial institution private embedding model.

  • Publication number: 20240277299
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for the prevention of bodily injuries through active monitoring of bodily postures, supporting a body while in or restricting a body from entering predetermined postures which heighten the body's susceptibility to injury, and alerting one or more entities (e.g., an apparatus user) of a body's susceptibility to injury is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the method may include one or more operations including monitoring one or more bodily postures and/or bodily movements, storing data associated with bodily postures and/or bodily movements, determining a risk of injury associated with bodily postures and/or bodily movements, and alerting one or more entities when a risk of injury associated with bodily postures and/or bodily movements reaches a predetermined level.

  • Publication number: 20240232889
Abstract: A machine learning system for processing data corresponding to an incoming transaction. The machine learning system comprises a categorical history module which includes a memory configured to store state data for a plurality of categories indexed by a respective category identifier, wherein the state data stored in the memory for each category identifier corresponds to a previous transaction associated with the entity and the respective category. A decay logic stage is configured to modify state data stored in the memory based on a time difference between a time of the incoming transaction and a time of a previous transaction. When the memory contains state data for the entity and category identifier pair associated with the incoming transaction, a decaying function dependent on the time difference is applied to the stored state data to generate a decayed version.

  • Publication number: 20240214641
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method selects a collection for an interface, wherein a collection includes one or more instances of content. A theme is selected from a plurality of themes for the collection. A first theme in the plurality of themes includes one or more tiles that is displayed in a larger area compared to a second theme that includes one or more tiles that is displayed in a smaller area. The method sends information for the theme and the collection to a client device to indicate to the interface the theme to use to display the collection.

  • Patent number: 11975943
Abstract: In a handrail including a carcass, a stretch inhibitor within the carcass, and a sliding layer bonded to the carcass, at least a portion of the carcass has a gas phase dispersed in a solid polymer matrix. The gas phase can reduce a density of the carcass by at least 5% or 10%, or about 15%, as compared to a density of the polymer matrix. The carcass can have a generally uniform distribution of gas bubbles in the polymer matrix, which can define a generally closed cell structure in the polymer matrix. The gas phase can be formed of particles of a syntactic foam dispersed in the polymer matrix. The handrail can further include a cover. The carcass and the cover can be formed of thermoplastic materials, and the cover can represent between 10 and 30% of the overall TPU required for the handrail.

  • Patent number: 11745435
Abstract: A handrail has a thermoplastic body having a generally C-shaped cross section, a stretch inhibitor in the thermoplastic body above a T-shaped slot and a slider fabric layer. The handrail includes first and second end portions, each comprising a forward part extending from an end surface of the end portion and a rear part adjacent the forward part. A method of forming a joint can include: providing cuts to separate a top section of the thermoplastic body from a base section including shoulder portions; for each end portion, removing at least shoulder portions from the forward part thereof, to leave a central portion including a forward part at the slider fabric layer and a layer of thermoplastic; cutting the forward parts to a required shape; and assembling the first and second end portions together to form a spliced joint for moulding.

  • Patent number: 11481213
Abstract: Described herein is a computer implemented method for migrating data entities of a software service from one server instance to another server instance. A migration identifier data structure is created for migrating entities, the data structure including objects, for example in predefined name-value pairs, identifying associated entities within the software service for the migrating entities. A migration process evaluates the migration identifier data structures across migration stages to identify shared configuration between migration stages and/or missing migration entities.
