Patent number: 11969565Abstract: The disclosure provides a system and method for a programmable medical wire that can be preprogrammed, and controlled and reshaped upon command. The system can include a power supply, a controller, and a multilayered wire assembly. The wire assembly includes a core conductor, actuator conductors coupled to the core conductor, selective conductors formed adjacent the core conductor and the actuator conductors, and a protective biocompatible shield around the layers. The selective conductors can be energized to activate the actuator conductors and cause the actuator conductors to bend or twist in a preprogrammed manner. By selectively controlling the direction of movement of the actuator conductors, the wire assembly can be remotely guided through body passageways to the target. Auxiliary equipment such as sensors, micro cameras, detectors, cutters, and other equipment can also be coupled to the wire assembly, and controlled and communicated with through one or more of the selective conductors.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2019Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignees: BAYLOR UNIVERSITY, SCOTT & WHITE HEALTHCAREInventors: Keith E. Publication number: 20240118614Abstract: Multiple patterning approaches using radiation sensitive organometallic materials is described. In particular, multiple patterning approaches can be used to provide distinct multiple patterns of organometallic material on a hardmask or other substrate through a sequential approach that leads to a final pattern. The multiple patterning approach may proceed via sequential lithography steps with multiple organometallic layers and may involve a hardbake freezing after development of each pattern. Use of an organometallic resist with dual tone properties to perform pattern cutting and multiple patterning of a single organometallic layer are described. Corresponding structures are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Peter De Schepper, Jason K. Patent number: 11576716Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating tissue are disclosed, including intra-operative mapping of a probe ablation zone. The method uses a system that maps the proximal and distal margins of the probe ablation zone using tools that access the ablation target. In some embodiments, the tools comprise a bone drill, and an introducer assembly, including a cannula and a stylet. The tools have features or markings that cooperate to indicate which probe to use to achieve the desired ablation. The method further facilitates planning probe placement for delivering energy to treat (ablate) a desired ablation volume of a target tissue by using a system that maps both the target tissue and possible probe ablation zones.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2020Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: MEDTRONIC HOLDING COMPANY SÀRLInventors: Neil Godara, Jason Woo, Terence Cheong

Publication number: 20220133239Abstract: The present disclosure facilitates capture (e.g., bipolar capture) of differentially-acquired wide-band phase gradient signals (e.g., wide-band cardiac phase gradient signals, wide-band cerebral phase gradient signals) that are simultaneously sampled. Notably, the exemplified system minimizes non-linear distortions (e.g., those that can be introduced via certain filters such as phase distortions) in the acquired wide-band phase gradient signals so as to not affect the information therein that can non-deterministically affect analysis of the wide-band phase gradient signal in the phase space domain. Further, a shield drive circuit and shield-drive voltage plane may be used to facilitate low noise and low interference operation of the acquisition system.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 10, 2021Publication date: May 5, 2022Inventors: Sunny Gupta, Konstantin Papirov, Jason Woo

Patent number: 11267402Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for prioritizing driver warnings in a vehicle. In one example, a first sensor in the vehicle may detect a first driving event, such as, for example, another vehicle that is traveling in a blind spot of the driver. A second sensor in the vehicle may detect a second driving event, such as, for example, that the driver of the vehicle is tailgating another vehicle. A driver warning system in the vehicle produces a driver warning based on prioritizing one of the two driving events. For example, the driver warning system may prioritize a warning pertaining to the tailgating action over a warning pertaining to the vehicle moving in the blind spot. In some cases, the prioritization may be carried out by using historical information about the two driving events.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2020Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Taylor Hawley, Jeremy Lerner, Nicholas Frazier, Joseph Gifford, Jason Woo
