  • Patent number: 11970096
Abstract: A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat base, a split seatback having a seatback frame and pivotally coupled to the seat base, the split seatback having a first seatback and a second seatback, a first pivot mechanism coupled to the seatback frame allowing the split seatback to pivot between an upright position and a folded position, and a motor for moving the split seatback to pivot to the folded position. The assembly also includes a second pivot mechanism comprising a pair of locking pivot mechanisms coupled to the second seatback for releasably holding the second seatback in an upright position, a dump spring operatively coupled to the second seatback to spring bias the second seatback towards the folded position, and a second mechanism comprising a pull mechanism for releasing the second pair of pivot mechanisms to allow the second seatback to move to the folded position.

  • Patent number: 10220886
Abstract: A compensator assembly for a vehicle frame includes a base member having a clip engaging a first frame component spaced from a second frame component. An extension member is threadably coupled with the base member. A fastener extends coaxially through the base and the extension members to engage the first and second frame components. Rotation of the fastener unthreads the extension member until it contacts the second frame component.

  • Patent number: 10137937
Abstract: A roof assembly for a vehicle has a roof panel and includes a bow having an upper surface for supporting the panel. The bow may define a hole extending in a lengthwise direction. The bow assembly may further include a cable extending through the hole that is adapted to be coupled to spaced-apart roof frame members. The cable is axially tensioned to support the bow and panel.

  • Patent number: 9975580
Abstract: A vehicle body assembly may include a header, a roof rail, and a gusset component. The header may define a lateral axis extending across a vehicle body. The roof rail may define a longitudinal axis extending fore/aft along the vehicle body. The gusset component is for securing the header and roof rail to one another and includes an edge extending diagonally between the header and the roof rail to reinforce a vehicle body corner joint. The edge may extend diagonally from the header to the roof rail at an angle between thirty and sixty degrees relative to the lateral axis and the longitudinal axis. The edge may define an edge axis oriented at substantially forty-five degrees relative to the lateral axis.

  • Patent number: 9944329
Abstract: A structural reinforcement member for a vehicle body includes a bracket sized for mounting to a roof rail, spanning along the roof rail from a first pillar past a second pillar, and including a first support member extending inboard at a first roof bow. The bracket and the first roof bow are arranged such that the first support member transfers a load applied to the vehicle body to the first roof bow. The first support member may be shaped to conform to a shape of an end of the first roof bow that the first support member is secured thereto. A second roof bow may extend from the roof rail and the bracket may further include a second support member extending inboard at the second roof bow.
