The system and method has a dietary and fitness/exercise plan that combines a dietary element, a fitness/exercise element and a written materials element. The dietary element provides one or more calorie-controlled foods to the user. The fitness/exercise element provides videos with one or more fitness/exercise routines for the user to follow. The written materials element provides charts, tables and graphs for the user. In the preferred embodiment, the user also has access to an online gym through the Internet or other transmission system. The online gym includes a database having a plurality of exercise video programs providing different types of fitness and exercise classes that can be accessed by registered users at a date, time and place that is convenient for the user to exercise.

    Abstract: A system and method for providing exercise programs, goods and services to users through a transmission system includes a database having a plurality of exercise video programs providing different types of exercise classes that can be accessed by registered users at a date, time and place that is convenient for the user to exercise. Preferably, the database is accessible via the Internet so the user can have access at the home, office, hotel rooms and many other Internet configured locations through an appropriately configured video device, such as a personal computer or television. The invention is configured to permit different levels of memberships so as to allow registered users access to different features of the exercise video program database. Preferably, the database includes special pay-per-view video programs, a marketplace section for purchasing goods and services, and a health/fitness section to provide health and fitness information.

    Abstract: A method and system for recycling of cigarette butts and other small litter items that utilizes a recycling device which is provided with the sale of products having non-consumable portions, such as cigarettes with cigarette filters. The product manufacturer can attach or insert the recycling device to or in the product packaging. A retailer includes the recycling device with the sale of the product at no additional cost to the consumer. The recycling device includes a refund value amount that reduces the price of future product purchases. The consumer places non-consumed portions of the product, such as cigarette butts, inside the recycling device and presents it to the retailer to obtain the discounted price. The retailer collects and stores the recycling devices for subsequent collection by or delivery to a recycling facility. The method and system encourage recycling and reduce littering of small non-consumable items.

    Abstract: A pouch for extinguishing, storing and disposing cigarette butts comprising a receptacle having a front panel, a back panel and opposing side panels forming one or more interior compartments. A two-ply material used for the pouch has a metallic or otherwise non-combustible side facing into the interior compartments and a paper outside. The top section of the receptacle has a mechanism for sealably closing the interior compartments comprising a pair of top flaps with adhesive bands thereon. The outside of the back panel has one or more pieces of sandpaper or like material thereon to allow the smoker to extinguish the cigarette butt and to provide some rigidity to the pouch. A non-combustible sheet can be disposed between the receptacle and sandpaper to protect the receptacle. A mechanism for opening the interior compartments, such as perforations, allows the contents therein to be disposed without having to be handled.
