  • Patent number: 10972052
Abstract: The present application provides a pre-signal amplifier, supply power conditioning apparatus, a wireless communication device and a method for providing selective pre-signal amplifier, supply power conditioning. A selective voltage supply boost stage is included, which has an input coupled to a voltage supply source for receiving a voltage supply, and an output for producing a selectively boosted voltage supply source. A voltage boost circuit is further included having a voltage boost control input coupled to a modem for controlling when the selectively boosted voltage supply source produced at the output is boosted. When the voltage boost control input identifies at least one of one or more modes in which the modem is currently operating, that a boost to the received voltage supply is desired, the resulting selectively boosted voltage supply source produced at the output is boosted.

  • Publication number: 20200280354
Abstract: The present application provides an antenna switching circuit, a wireless communication device and a method for switching a transmit path of a transceiver between three or more antennas. The antenna switching circuit includes three or more antennas, and a switch coupled to each of the three or more antennas. The antenna switching circuit further includes a controller coupled to the switch, as well as a transceiver, which is coupled to each of the three or more antennas via the switch. Each of the coupled antennas is selectively associated with a different respective receive path of the transceiver, and the transceiver has a transmitter path that can be separately selectively coupled to any one of the three or more antennas via the switch under the control of the controller.

  • Patent number: 10284244
Abstract: The present application provides a radio frequency front end circuit, a wireless communication device and a method for coupling signals in support of multiple input and multiple output, and carrier aggregation for multiple frequency bands of operation between one or more transceivers and a plurality of antennas. Each antenna is associated with a respective signal from each of a first frequency band of operation and a second frequency band of operation from the one or more transceivers. The radio frequency front end circuit includes a multi-close front end switch associated with one of the plurality of antennas, where separate terminals of the multi-close front end switch are each respectively associated with the respective signal from each of the first frequency band of operation and the second frequency band of operation corresponding to the associated antenna from the one or more transceivers.

  • Patent number: 9118394
Abstract: A method and system selects an antenna for signal propagation within a wireless communication device having multiple antennas. A transfer switch controller identifies an operating mode being initiated on the wireless communication device. The transfer switch controller configures a dynamic transfer switch based on the operating mode initiated to support propagation of each available type of communication signal. In addition, the transfer switch controller utilizes a pre-established priority of each available type of communication signal to select the appropriate antenna. The transfer switch controller communicatively connects, utilizing the configured dynamic transfer switch, each of at least one transceiver associated with the operating mode initiated to a specific antenna, where each transceiver supports propagation of a specific type of communication signal.
