A group retry rate is defined and used to quantify the level of interference in a Spatial Reuse Group (SRG). Access points in the SRG update their OBSS-PDmax thresholds so as to keep the group retry rate value acceptably low. Access points transmit during an SR opportunity subject to the constraints imposed by the updated OBSS-PDmax.
