  • Patent number: 12158488
Abstract: A computer-implemented iterative method for reconstructing the topology of a cable network, includes the steps of: obtaining a measured time reflectogram Rm from a signal previously injected into the cable network, initially simulating a plurality of cable network hypotheses (Hi,j), and then iteratively executing the following steps: obtaining, for each simulated cable network hypothesis (Hi,j), an associated simulated time reflectogram Rm, evaluating, for each simulated cable network hypothesis (Hi,j), an error criterion E(Ri,j-Rm) between the measured time reflectogram Rm and the simulated time reflectogram Rm, applying, to the simulated cable networks, an optimization algorithm having the function of producing a plurality of modified cable networks having, overall, a reduced error criterion E(Ri,j-Rm), replacing the simulated cable networks from the previous iteration with the modified cable networks for the following iteration.

  • Publication number: 20240330528
Abstract: An iterative method for reconstructing the topology of a cable network, includes the following steps: obtaining a measured time-domain reflectogram, searching for a cable network topology model corresponding to the measured reflectogram by executing, based on an initial topology model, multiple iterations of at least two successive steps of transforming a topology model: i. a first step of optimizing the non-optimized branches of at least one topology model saved in the previous iteration, the optimization relating at least to the length of the branches and/or the impedance of the end-of-branch loads, ii. a second step of generating new topology models by replacing an end-of-branch load of a topology model saved after the first optimization step with a junction to multiple non-optimized branches.

  • Patent number: 10955457
Abstract: A method for analyzing faults affecting a transmission line network includes at least one line segment having a plurality of ends, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring, at at least two ends of the line network, a measurement of a signal being propagated in the network, applying a time reversal to each signal measurement, for each segment of the line network, constructing a cost function dependent on the time and the distance from a point of the segment to an end of the network, searching for at least one extremum of the cost function over all of the segments of the line network and retaining the coordinates of the extremum, deducing therefrom the presence of a fault at a position and an instant of occurrence that are given by the coordinates of the extremum.
