  • Publication number: 20150042502
Abstract: The invention relates to a material configured such as to include a plurality of layers, some layers being made of a composite material and some layers being made of a dielectric material. The layers of composite material include a mixture of host dielectric material and inclusions, such that said inclusions are embedded in the structure of the host dielectric material. Said inclusions preferably include highly conductive fibres, specifically metal microwires. Thus, the structure of the material according to the invention includes a plurality of layers, some layers being made of a composite material, which includes a host dielectric material with inclusions, and some layers being made of a dielectric material. The structure of the material according to the invention is designed so that the surface on which said material is applied is capable of absorbing a portion of the incident electromagnetic radiation, thus substantially reducing the electromagnetic radiation reflected by same curved.

  • Patent number: 7898251
Abstract: A method and system for the characterization of a magnetic element based on ferromagnetic resonance, the magnetic element presents ferromagnetic resonance and its own characteristic resonance frequency. The system includes mechanism for application of a low-frequency electromagnetic field in a given area; a mechanism for application of a high-frequency electromagnetic wave the same as the characteristic resonance frequency of the magnetic element in the same area; and a control unit configured so as to control the simultaneous application of the low-frequency electromagnetic field so that in response to the introduction of the magnetic element in the area the magnetic element absorbs the high-frequency electromagnetic wave with a frequency the same as that of the low-frequency electromagnetic field, so the wave is modulated.

  • Patent number: 7852215
Abstract: The invention refers to a magnetic tag that can be activated/deactivated, formed by at least two components based on magnetic microwire, characterized in that: the first component comprises a first array of soft magnetic microwire segments (1) with a bistable magnetic behaviour, said segments arranged in a substantially aligned manner in a direction parallel to the axial direction of the microwire, and the second component comprises a second array of hard magnetic microwire segments (2), said hard magnetic microwire segments preferably being of substantially the same length, and are arranged equidistantly from each other and substantially aligned in a direction parallel to that of the first component. The invention also refers to a method for obtaining a tag that can be activated/deactivated based on magnetic microwire.

  • Publication number: 20080143533
Abstract: It concerns an activatable/deactivatable magnetomechanical marker, based on magnetic microwires, in which participates a non-bistable, magnetoelastic, soft magnetic microwire (1) with induced transversal magnetic anisotropy and with magnetoelastic resonance frequency of 58 kHz, and a second hard magnetic microwire (2), thereby achieving a substantial reduction in the size of the marker. The procedure for obtaining the same consists firstly in obtaining a soft magnetic microwire with non-bistable magnetic behaviour, which undergoes a heat treatment in the presence of transversal magnetic field sufficient to saturate the sample at a temperature below that of crystallization of the amorphous alloy, cutting said magnetic wire to the appropriate length so that its magnetoelastic resonance coincides with that of the detecting unit, and finally obtaining a hard magnetic microwire (2) which together with the soft microwire are mounted on the mechanical support (3) of the marker.

  • Patent number: 7336215
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnetic radiation absorber for a preselected frequency range, comprising: an absorbent sheet (10) located such that said electromagnetic radiation falls on it, and a conductive base (20) located under said absorbent sheet, wherein said absorbent sheet: has a total thickness e exceeding ?/(?)1/24, where ? is the wavelength of the incident electromagnetic radiation, and is made up of a dielectric material containing amorphous magnetic microwires, the magnetic permeability of which in the preselected frequency range has an imaginary part ?? which is at least 100 times greater than the corresponding real part ??, said microwires being distributed in a volume having a thickness e2 of at least ?/(?)1/216, where ? is the dielectric constant of the absorbent sheet and said volume is located a distance e3 from the conductive base that is not less than ?/(?)1/28.
