  • Publication number: 20170249080
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention includes a method of operating a solid-state storage device, comprising a storage device controller in the storage device receiving a set of one or more rules, each rule comprising (i) one or more request conditions to be evaluated for a storage device action request received from a host computer, and (ii) one or more request actions to be performed on a physical address space of a non-volatile storage unit in the solid-state storage device in case the one or more request conditions are fulfilled; the method further comprises: the storage device receiving a storage device action request, and the storage device evaluating a first rule of the one or more rules by determining if the received request fulfills request conditions comprised in the first rule, and in the affirmative the storage device performing request actions comprised in the first rule. A corresponding solid-state storage device is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9739138
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and systems for up hole transmission of well data based on bandwidth are described. A down hole type data transmission tool includes an input device to receive data from a well tool. The tool includes a processor to determine that sufficient bandwidth is unavailable to transmit all of the received data up hole to a data receiving device in real time, and, responsively, divide the data into a portion to be transmitted up hole in real time and a remainder to be transmitted later. The remainder can be buffered in a memory and transmitted at a later time, for example, when sufficient bandwidth is available.

  • Publication number: 20160180203
Abstract: Protection of communication lines are described herein. In at least some examples herein, a communication line interfaces an emitter terminal. A controllably conductive device has a first main load terminal, a second main load terminal, and a control input. The controllably conductive device is connected in series along the communication line. The first main load terminal is connected to the emitter terminal, the second main load terminal is connected to the output terminal. A reference voltage terminal is connected to the control input via a control resistor.

  • Patent number: 9140746
Abstract: Diagnosing the condition of an electrical system includes identifying the intended operating status of the system. An electrical consumption in the system is measured. The measured electrical consumption is compared at least with one predetermined electrical consumption that is associated to the intended operating status of the system. The condition of the system is diagnosed based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20140114296
Abstract: Methods and systems for planning and forming incisions in a cornea, lens capsule, and/or crystalline lens nucleus are disclosed. A method includes measuring spatial dispositions, relative to a laser surgery system, of at least portions of the corneal anterior and posterior surfaces. A spatial disposition of an incision of the cornea is generated based at least in part on the measured corneal anterior and posterior spatial dispositions and at least one corneal incision parameter. A composite image is displayed that includes an image representative of the measured corneal anterior and posterior surfaces and an image representing the corneal incision.

  • Publication number: 20030138940
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that allow the high-throughput preparation, processing, and study of arrays of samples, each of which comprises at least one compound. Particular embodiments of the invention allow a large number of experiments to be performed in parallel on samples that comprised of one or more compounds on the milligram or microgram quantities of compounds. Other embodiments of the invention encompass methods and devices for the rapid screening of the results of such experiments, as well as methods and devices for rapidly determining whether or not similarities exist among groups of samples in an array. Particular embodiments of the invention encompass methods and devices for the high-throughput preparation of different forms of compounds (e.g., different crystalline forms), for the discovery of new forms of old compounds, and for the discovery of new methods of producing such forms.
