    Abstract: A gearbox assembly may include a gearbox housing, a transmission space enclosed by the gearbox housing, a first shaft mounted in the gearbox housing, a cavity formed in the first shaft, and a channel formed in the first shaft which connects the transmission space to the cavity of the first shaft for supplying lubricant. In the cavity, a second shaft may be rotatably mounted. The second shaft may have a first bearing area, a second bearing area, a gear area engaged with a ring gear to the gearbox housing, and a shaft end range from the cavity of the first shaft. A seal adjacent to the shaft end area may seal the cavity, and the outer diameter of the second shaft between the first bearing area and the shaft end area may be stepped at a shaft shoulder. The first bearing area may include a first groove and the shaft shoulder with a second groove.

The switching device comprises a shift collar, a shift fork which engages in the shift collar, a control actuator which is arranged in the first transmission housing portion and an actuator rod which is connected at one end to the control actuator and at the other end to the shift fork. The actuator rod is supported in a first guiding hole which is formed in the first transmission housing portion. It is proposed that a second guiding hole which is formed in the first transmission housing portion parallel with the first guiding hole be formed and a guide rod which is orientated parallel with the actuator rod be provided and be connected at one end to the shift fork and at the other end be supported in the second guiding hole.

    Abstract: Feederhouse gearboxes are provided for installation on combine harvesters. In embodiments, the feederhouse gearbox includes a gearbox housing, an output shaft rotatable about an output axis, and a primary drive input. The primary drive input is mechanically linked to an engine of the combine harvester when the feederhouse gearbox is installed thereon. A reverser drive input is mechanically linked to a reverser motor of the combine harvester when the feederhouse gearbox is installed on the combine harvester. The feederhouse gearbox further includes a selector mechanism within the gearbox housing and movable between a primary drive position and a reverser drive position, a primary gear train transmitting rotation from the primary drive input to the output shaft when the selector mechanism is in the primary drive position, and a reverser worm drive transmitting rotation from the reverser drive input to the output shaft when the selector mechanism is in the reverser drive position.

The gears transfer rotation of the input shaft into rotation of a gathering chain output shaft about a second axis of rotation, generally transverse to the first axis of rotation. The gathering chain drive shaft rotates within a bushing mounted within a frame structure of the gearbox. A bushing seal has an annular mounting sleeve with an inner diameter that is press fit over a boss on the frame structure.
