    Abstract: A single-component sealant or adhesive composition, including: a) an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising water and at least one water-dispersed polymer P having a median particle size D50 of less than 150 nm, b) at least one water-dispersed or water-dissolved epoxy- or carbodiimide-functional cross-linker C, wherein the pH of the composition is adjusted in the range of 7 to 12, and wherein the at least one water-dispersed polymer P is included in the composition with an amount of at least 45 wt.-%, based on the total composition, and wherein the epoxy- or carbodiimide-functional cross-linker C is included in the composition with an amount of between 0.5 and 5 wt.-%, based on the total composition.
