  • Publication number: 20190251463
Abstract: A method for providing an interactive interface for live event outcome selection and prediction may include generating a set of cells for an event. The set of cells may be provided to a client device to present in a user interface. A selection of a cell may be received from the client device. The selected cell may be assigned to a user account. The method may generate a coordinate for each cell in the set, wherein each cell coordinate includes a plurality of dimensions, each dimension corresponding to a different entity of the event, and wherein each cell coordinate is unique for the set of cells. The method may comprise calculating, prior to the start of the event, a probability that an event result represented by a cell coordinate will occur; and presenting the probability in association with the cell on the user interface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20190232302
Abstract: A hydrocyclone (10) is disclosed in which the inlet section (14) of the chamber (13) has a curved inner side wall surface (29) which is generally in the shape of a volute (28), for directing material received in use from the feed inlet port (17) in a rotational motion. In the embodiment shown, the volute (28) is ramped axially downward within the inlet section (14), in a direction towards the conical separating section (15), and turns through an angle of more than 270 angle degrees. The conical section has a central axis X-X, and comprises two segments 32, 34 each being of a frustoconical shape, and joined together end to end to form a generally conical separating chamber (15). An internal angle A located between an inner wall surface (50) of the so-formed conical separating chamber (15) and a line parallel to the central axis X-X is ideally less than (8) angle degrees, to provide a hydrocyclone design with beneficial operating parameters.

  • Publication number: 20190194699
Abstract: This invention provides improved biological synthesis of the apocarotenoid ?-ionone in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The final native step involved in the natural apocarotenoid pathway depends on an endogenous farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FPPs). From there, heterologous geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate synthase (crtE), phytoene synthase (crtB), phytoene desaturase (crtI), lycopene ?-cyclase (LycE) and a Carotenoid Cleavage Dioxygenase (CCD1) are required to complete the synthesis of ?-ionone. Lycopene ?-cyclase from lettuce (Lactuca sativa) or modified cyclase from Arabidopsis thaliana was used to overproduce lycopene which was then cleaved by the carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase from Petunia hybrida (Ph-CCD1).

  • Publication number: 20190073911
Abstract: Techniques for estimating the impact of new operational conditions in a baseline air traffic scenario are described. For at least one flight, embodiments infer an aircraft intent that fits corresponding flight track data. A reconstructed trajectory is computed using the inferred aircraft intent. For at least one flight in an alternative air traffic scenario, an aircraft intent that fits new operational conditions is generated. The new operational conditions include a new air traffic management operation and a new air traffic procedure, and the generated aircraft intent conforms to the new air traffic management operation and the new air traffic procedure. Embodiments compute a generated trajectory of the at least one flight in the alternative air traffic scenario using the generated aircraft intent and compute trajectory-based analytics on each computed trajectory of the baseline and alternative air traffic scenarios using a set of metrics.
