Abstract: A first node device, associated with an evolved packet core network, receives an error code from a second node device associated with the evolved packet core network, where the error code is destined for a user equipment. The first node device compares the error code to information included in a data structure that maps multiple error codes to multiple translated error codes understood by the user equipment, and translates the error code into a translated error code based on the comparing of the error code to the information included in the data structure. The translated error code is in a format that is understood by the user equipment. The first node device provides the translated error code to the user equipment or to a third node device associated with the evolved packet core network.

Abstract: A first mobility management entity (MME) device receives an attachment request that includes information associated with a user device. The first MME device creates a context for the user device based on the information, stores the context, and creates an optimized context based on the context, where a size of the optimized context is smaller than a size of the context. The first MME device also identifies a second MME device that is a backup for the first MME device, and transmits the optimized context to the second MME device.

Abstract: A network management system may detect a network condition corresponding to a network and evaluate the network condition to identify types of network performance information corresponding to the network condition. The network management system may prioritize the types of network performance information and communicate priority information to a network device. The priority information may include the types of network performance information identified by the network management system and/or the priority associated with each type of network performance information. The network device may receive the priority information, evaluate the availability of device resources, collect network performance information based on the priority information and the availability of device resources, and communicate the network performance information to the network management system.

Abstract: A device provides, to a domain name system (DNS), a request for candidate network nodes to which to connect, and receives, from the DNS and based on the request, a list of fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) for the candidate network nodes. The device truncates the FQDNs in the list of FQDNs to create a list of truncated FQDNs corresponding to the candidate network nodes, and stores the list of truncated FQDNs in a buffer associated with the device.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a user device, a request to access a long term evolution (LTE) network; sending, to a group of servers, a query to obtain information associated with a respective traffic condition and processing capacity associated with each of the group of servers; identifying a particular server, of the group of servers, via which to establish a communication session with the user device based on a determination that the particular server has a reserve processing capacity that is greater than a respective reserve processing capacity associated with the each other one of the group of servers, where the reserve processing capacity is based on a traffic condition and processing capacity associated with the particular server; and sending, to the particular server, an instruction to establish the communication session, where sending the instruction enables the particular server to establish the communication session via which the user device is to access the network.

Abstract: A device receives, at a particular time, instructions to send a page to user equipment. The device determines, based on a paging list, if the user equipment is associated with a particular serving base station for the particular time. When the user equipment is associated with the particular serving base station for the particular time, the device sends the page to the user equipment via the particular serving base station. When the user equipment is not associated with a serving base station for the particular time, the device sends the page to the user equipment via all base stations associated with a tracking area list for the user equipment.
