Publication number: 20150339907Abstract: A child discipline system designated as a punishment tool that includes the use of a pad with an alarm system that is designated as a punishment position for the child. Within the pad is a sensor that detects whether the child is sitting on the pad and creates a system where if a child moves the sensor activates the alarm indicating that the child has moved from their punishment spot. A receiver is used with the pad that receives an alert from the alarm therefore freeing the parent or guardian from actively monitoring the child in their punishment position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2015Publication date: November 26, 2015Inventors: Ines Moreno, Javier Moreno

Patent number: 9183479Abstract: Value tokens, e.g. gaming chips, are formed with a slug having an RFID microchip embedded or encapsulated inside and an EM coil either embedded or encapsulated inside or wrapped around the periphery of the slug. The slug is formed by injection molding two plastic halves with a spacing therebetween for accepting the RFID microchip. The plastic halves are formed from weighted plastic including fillers such as copper, brass and/or tungsten to add extra weight to the plastic halves. The EM coil is placed on the same radius as the RFID antenna within the gaming chip or at a radius outside the RFID antenna to as to minimize interference between the RFID and EM signals by minimizing the metal in the EM field. For example, the EM coil may be wound within a groove around the outer periphery of the slug.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2014Date of Patent: November 10, 2015Assignee: Gaming Partners International CorporationInventors: Emmanuel Gelinotte, Chrispohe Maurice Liboi, Regis Marcel Roger Vicaire, Francisco Javier Moreno, Kirsten Clark, Joseph Brooks Friedman, Gregory Scott Gronau

Publication number: 20150244604Abstract: Testing procedures and associated messaging can be performed via powerline communication (PLC) medium. A first device can test a second device using management messages via the PLC medium. For example, the first device may transmit a test setup request message including at least one test parameter to the second device via the PLC medium. The first device may conduct a test of the second device in accordance with the at least one test parameter. The first device may determine a first performance metric associated with the test. The first performance metric can describe at least one of a PLC interface of the second device and the PLC medium between the first device and the second device. Test results can be translated to a common format for comparison to traditional tests which may be based on Ethernet performance metrics.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2015Publication date: August 27, 2015Inventors: Francisco Javier Moreno, Purva Rameshchandra Rajkotia

Publication number: 20150163052Abstract: A powerline communication (PLC) network analyzer can join a PLC network by authenticating and associating with a central coordinator of the PLC network. The network analyzer can receive an encryption key from the central coordinator and dissociate from the PLC network. The network analyzer can capture and decrypt network traffic from the PLC network while remaining dissociated. The network analyzer can also create one or more virtual stations for the PLC network. The virtual stations can join the PLC network through the central coordinator and generate network traffic for the PLC network.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2014Publication date: June 11, 2015Applicant: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Francisco Javier Moreno, Purva Rameshchandra Rajkotia, Phuoc Nhu Tang
