  • Publication number: 20240037498
Abstract: Examples described herein include methods, techniques, and systems for designing and/or installing an off the grid energy solution. In some embodiments, a system includes a fuel station and a power station, where the fuel station is electrically, communicatively, and mechanically coupled to the power station. The power station may include a plurality of power generation and/or power storage methods, such as via a genset, solar panels, and/or a battery. These electrical power sources, combined with the fuel from the fuel station, contribute to the system being a dependable, standalone energy solution. The system may also utilize a network and a server, where the server comprises a system management module. The system management module may include a fuel management module, a fuel inventory module, and a system maintenance module.

  • Patent number: 11454274
Abstract: A positioning tool for axially positioning a circular lubricant dam insert on a splined drive shaft may include a circular body having an inner surface configured to slide over an outer surface of the splined drive shaft. A first plurality of splines may be positioned on an inner surface of the circular body, the first plurality of splines mating with a second plurality of splines on the outer surface of the splined drive shaft. A depth setting member may be positioned on the circular body that defines an axial extent to which the circular body slides over the outer surface of the splined drive shaft. A position setting element may extend axially from the circular body to contact an axial end of the insert to axially position the insert on the splined drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 9931174
Abstract: A glove dispenser has a housing having first and second opposed walls. A glove roll is disposed within the housing for carrying a roll of removable gloves. An electro-mechanical feed mechanism rotates the roll. One or more proximity sensors are positioned within the housing to detect a user's hand and activate rotation of the glove roll. Activators are located on the housing first and second wall which activate the roll to rotate to dispense a glove from the roll. A take-up roll can be provided for receiving roll material after the gloves are dispensed.

  • Patent number: 9291535
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and apparatus or kit for extracting major metabolites of vitamin D from human plasma or serum. More particularly, the invention provides for the extraction from human plasma or serum samples comprising vitamin D metabolites such as 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3, 25-hydroxy vitamin D2, and D3 from protein binding, removal of protein and phospholipids, and isolation of the metabolites using a combination of ion-exchange and Lewis acid mechanisms without the requirement to acidify the samples. The method and apparatus of the invention comprise a cartridge or plurality of cartridges comprising at least one protein crash frit, a strong cation exchanged sorbent, and an acidified alumina sorbent to provide higher recoveries of vitamin D metabolites than existing phospholipid depletion plate techniques.

  • Publication number: 20150168412
Abstract: The present invention relates to rapid, sensitive methods for determining whether a subject has or is at risk of developing lung cancer based on certain combinations of biomarkers, or biomarkers and biometric parameters. The methods consist of: a) quantifying in a test sample obtained from a subject, the amount of two or more biomarkers in a panel, the panel comprising at least one antibody and at least one antigen: b) comparing the amount of each biomarker quantified in the panel to a predetermined cutoff for said biomarker and assigning a score for each biomarker based on said comparison: c) combining the assigned score for each biomarker quantified in step b to obtain a total score for said subject: d) comparing the total score in step c with a predetermined total score and e) determining whether said subject has a risk of lung cancer based on the comparison in step d.
