  • Publication number: 20240146477
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a network entity may pseudo-randomly generate frequency hopping indexes to support secure communication of sounding reference signals (SRSs). For example, the UE may securely obtain a key associated with communication a set of SRSs via respective portions of system bandwidth for communicating with the network entity. The UE and the network entity may generate a set of frequency hopping indexes using the key. The set of frequency hopping indexes may correspond to the set of SRSs, and each frequency hopping index may indicate a respective portion of the system bandwidth for communication of a corresponding SRS. The UE and the network entity may communicate the set of SRSs in accordance with the set of frequency hopping indexes.

  • Publication number: 20240098671
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a set of time-frequency resources for one or more cell detection signals (CDS) associated with a pseudo-random sequence, where the pseudo-random sequence and the set of time-frequency resources are indicated by an output of a pseudo-random function (PRF) that is based on a timing parameter, a cell identifier (ID), and a shared key. Accordingly, the UE may communicate with a network entity via a cell associated with the cell ID based on receiving the one or more CDS. The UE may also exchange one or more messages with the network entity, and may perform a time calibration procedure based on the one or more messages and a delay threshold of the UE. The one or more messages may indicate an ID of the UE, a cryptographic number, a time interval, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240039678
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support improved spectrum utilization, such as per band configuration of a maximum quantity of resource elements. In a first aspect, an apparatus for wireless communication includes at least one processor and a memory coupled to the at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to receive scheduling information in accordance with a first maximum quantity of resources, wherein the first maximum quantity is based on a first channel bandwidth, first frequency band information, and a first subcarrier spacing (SCS), wherein the first frequency band information is indicative of a first type of frequency band or a first frequency band. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit or receive a first transmission in accordance with the scheduling information. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20230188946
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may transmit system information indicating multiple multicast-broadcast network areas, and may further provide configuration information for each multicast-broadcast network area indicating a location of multicast scheduling information (MSI). The MSI may include an indication of frequency resources on which to receive broadcast or multicast services. The MSI may indicate specific services for an multicast-broadcast network area that are provided via the different frequency resources (for example, different cells, carriers, channels, among other examples). In some examples, the base station may schedule broadcast or multicast services across frequency resources via semi-persistent scheduling. The MSI may indicate a redundancy version configuration (for example, time and frequency patterns for combined redundancy version broadcast transmissions).

  • Publication number: 20230116477
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may receive a set of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) over a multi-path channel on a set of resources in accordance with a reference signal pattern. The reference signal pattern may be associated with a non-uniform frequency spacing that results in a row-sampled Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) matrix associated with the reference signal pattern having a lower coherence than other row-sampled DFT matrices. Additionally or alternatively, the device may receive a set of tracking reference signals (TRSs) over the multi-path channel. The set of TRSs may be specific to wide-area terrestrial broadcast services, single frequency network (SFN)-based broadcast services, multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMSs), or the reference signal pattern. The device may perform channel estimation based on receiving one or both of the set of DMRSs or the set of TRSs over the multi-path channel.
