Abstract: A can has two closed can ends, one of which is provided with a pull tab having a pull-up member connected to the pull tab. The pull tab can be torn away from the associated can end to form an opening by pulling up the pull-up member which is connected to the pull tab. The pull-up member includes a bottom portion and a tapered insert portion extending upwardly from the bottom portion. After the pull tab is detached from the can, the pull tab can be broken off from the pull-up member and the tapered insert portion can be used to snugly seal the opening in the can end.

Abstract: A fishing apparatus includes a fishline-holding device, a fishing rod and a mounting device for mounting the fishline-holding device to the fishing rod. The fishline-holding device includes a hollow elongated housing; a threaded rod which is positioned in the housing; a sliding member, having a hook member and a push rod connected thereto, which is slidably retained in two longitudinally opposed guide slots in the housing so that the hook member can move longitudinally with respect to the housing; a biasing member, in the form of a spring, interconnected between the threaded rod and the sliding member; a retaining device provided for retaining the hook member of the sliding member when the spring is stretched to a position to enable the hook member to being hooked by the retaining device; and a linking device connected to the hook member, the retaining device and a fishline.
