The query handling device receives database queries directed towards a group of databases from several applications and filters the queries based on common query rules such as common query syntax, investigates the queries that have passed the filtering, and sends the investigated queries to the databases. The investigation includes prioritising between at least some queries according to a query prioritisation scheme. The prioritised queries are sent according to the query prioritisation scheme.

The method includes the steps of generating a ranking measure for each of a plurality of users within the network, monitoring network performance of the plurality of users, and identifying occurrence of conflict between ranking measure and network performance of a user. The method further includes the steps of resolving the conflict by reference to an authority and using information from the resolved conflict to inform subsequent generation of ranking measures. Also disclosed are a computer program product for carrying out a method of ranking users within a network and an apparatus configured to rank users within a network.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing analysis of client related data obtained from a communication network. A trend analyzer analyzes a trend of a client segment, which trend has been detected by a data stream analysis of the client related data. The trend reflects a change over time of at least one feature derived from the client related data. The trend analyzer then requests a batch based deep analysis when the trend fulfils a trigger condition, to find a cause for the trend. A result of the deep analysis is then provided to a result consumer. Thereby, the deep analysis may be performed only when a trend has been detected thus being more responsive to trends by the stream analysis and reguiring less resources, as compared to when data is always subjected to deep analysis regardless of whether a trend occurs or not.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention disclose a method, identifier and a computer program product for identifying influential users among a group of users associated with a communication network. The disclosed method includes selecting two or more ranking models from a plurality of ranking models such that each ranking model provides scores to the users in the group based on a usage data of the users, calculating a weighing factor for each of the selected ranking models, generating an aggregate score for each user using the weighing factor and the score provided by each one of the selected model such that based on the aggregate score, the influential users among the group of users are identified.
