    Abstract: A heat shield mechanism for thermally protecting a casing located in a turbine engine having a plurality of honeycomb cells which are connected to a support plate. A spring in contact with the support plate and in contact with a vane liner exerts a force on the support plate which causes at least one of the plurality of honeycomb cells to be pressed against the casing.
