Publication number: 20260151274Abstract: A bandage that firmly secures to an appendage (e.g., finger/toe) having a wound on or near the tip. The bandage includes first portion of material, having an absorbent layer secured to a first side, and a second portion of material, also having an absorbent layer secured to a first side and joining the first and second portions along edges of upper regions of those portions, the first sides facing each other, forming an appendage tip receptacle (ATR). Wings are provided on the first portion, one wing on each side of a lower portion of the first portion. An adhesive region is included on each wing and facing the second portion. Once the appendage tip with the wound is inserted into the ATR, the wings are wrapped around the appendage in opposite directions to overlap and pressure is applied to the overlapping wings to releasably secure the bandage to the appendage.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2026Publication date: June 4, 2026Inventors: William R. MARTIN, Jay A. BERKOWITZ

Publication number: 20260069036Abstract: An apparatus and method for releasably lockable furniture. The apparatus includes a receptable bracket having a plurality of chambers on one furniture component and a corresponding plurality of projections on a second furniture component. A release device having a release button is included with the receptacle bracket while a cavity, configured for receiving that release button therein, is formed into a region where the plurality of projections is present. To connect the components, the projections are inserted into the corresponding chambers and two components are slid in opposite direction so that the release button is seated in the cavity, thereby releasably locking the two components together. Additional receptacle brackets with the release device can be provided on the first component and additional plurality of projections with the cavity can be provided on the second component. To disassemble, the release button(s) are depressed and the two components moved in opposite directions.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2025Publication date: March 12, 2026Inventor: Jay A. BERKOWITZ

Patent number: 12262812Abstract: An apparatus and method for a releasably lockable desktop in a modular cubicle. The apparatus includes a pair of support brackets that releasably secure to at least one cubicle wall. Each bracket includes a horizontal flange that includes a plurality of projections thereon. These plurality of projections fit into corresponding chambers in corresponding receptacle brackets that are installed on the bottom of a desktop element. Each receptacle bracket includes a release device with a release button that is compressed and rides along the horizontal flanges of the support brackets. When the desktop element is pulled back towards the user, the release buttons are seated in respective apertures in the support brackets, thereby releasably locking the desktop element on the support brackets. Each support bracket secures to a respective C-shaped mounting bracket that have an upper lip that gets trapped between two respective vertically-stacked cubicle tiles.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2024Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Inventor: Jay A. Berkowitz

Publication number: 20240360667Abstract: A system and method for forming an easily-erectable modular business cubicle is provided. The system/method uses of a rectangularly-shaped tile that has distinct connectors on each of its four sides. On one tile side is a single coupling connector and on the opposite is a multiple coupling connector. On the top is a connector comprising a plurality of elongated parallel grooves and on the bottom is a connector comprising a plurality of elongated parallel tongues corresponding to the top connector. These integrated connectors allow a plurality of these tiles to be releasably coupled to each other, in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. In addition, since no tools or separate connectors are required, a variety of cubicle styles can be easily formed and then later the cubicle can be dis-assembled or reconfigured into a new cubicle style. Tiles of different heights, but with the same connector configurations are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2024Publication date: October 31, 2024Inventor: Jay A. BERKOWITZ
