Abstract: A safety razor has a handle and a razor cartridge having a handle and a connector. The connector includes a recess with an opening portion and a remote portion at an end of the recess opposed the opening portion. The handle includes a first ejector connected to a user-operable button and a distal end portion of the first ejector is adapted to contact an interior surface of the remote portion of the recess. The button also includes a second ejector structure adapted to contact the opening portion of the recess. When the button is operated, the combined function of the distal end portion of the first ejector contacting and pushing against a surface of the remote portion of the recess and the second ejector structure contacting and pushing against the opening portion of the recess act to disconnect the razor cartridge from the handle.

Abstract: A safety razor handle has a body having a cartridge attachment end with an adjoined elongated hollow portion terminating in an opening at an opposed end of the body. A pushbutton is slidably retained in the opening and movable along an axis of the hollow portion between an at-rest position and a depressed position. An elongated transfer rod is located in the hollow portion and has a first end in the cartridge attachment end region of the hollow portion and a second end closely abutting the pushbutton. A compression spring acts between the cartridge attachment end and the first end of the transfer rod to bias the transfer rod along the axis towards the opening. An ejector is mounted in the cartridge attachment end having an outer end extendable outwardly from the cartridge attachment end and an inner end closely abutting the first end of the transfer rod.

During a shaving operation, as the roller rotates across the surface over which it is being drawn, shaving aid material is distributed from the reservoir to the roller and thereby to the surface being shaved.
