  • Patent number: 7454380
Abstract: An interactive wagering application is provided that allows users to place parimutuel wagers on future events. An interactive wagering system may enable the user to place a wager on the future event by providing multiple wagering pools. When a future event wagering pool is closed, final odds and payouts may be determined for that wagering pool and a new wagering pool, for the same future event, may be made available. The interactive wagering application may also monitor the user's activities to create a user profile. The interactive wagering application may use the user profile to find future race events that may be of interest to the user. The interactive wagering application may also provide the user with the ability to search for future races according to the future race date, race name, or any other suitable criteria.

  • Patent number: 7033264
Abstract: A method of filling a natural hollow elongated casing with meat emulsion involves placing a natural casing on an elongated meat emulsion stuffing tube having a meat emulsion discharge end, closing an extended end of the natural casing over the discharge end of the stuffing tube so that meat emulsion exiting the discharge end will push the natural casing longitudinally by pumping meat emulsion through the stuffing tube for expansive discharge into the natural casing at a sufficient volume and velocity to provide the primary energy within the natural casing to move the natural casing forwardly off of the discharge end of the stuffing tube. The casing is extended through a hollow chuck (100). A resilient brake element (160) in the chuck is extended around the casing to impede its longitudinal movement. A thrust collar (200) is slidably mounted on the stuffing tube and is intermittently manually pushed against the casing to limit the length thereof but is insufficient to create compression pressure thereon.

  • Patent number: 6981912
Abstract: A method for filling a natural hollow elongated casing with meat emulsion that involves placing a natural casing on an elongated meat emulsion stuffing tube and longitudinally pumping meat emulsion through the stuffing tube for expansive discharge into the natural casing at a sufficient volume and velocity to provide the primary energy within the natural casing. The method also involves providing a casing hopper that can be pivoted from a forward operating position to a rearward inoperative position.

  • Publication number: 20010034268
Abstract: An interactive wagering application is provided that assists users in finding races on which the users desire to wager on and that assists users in placing wagers on the desired races. The application may provide a search feature that allows the user to search for races based on user inputted search criteria such as favorite jockey, trainer, runner, or any suitable combination thereof. The application may also provide a next hour feature that searches for upcoming races that start within a certain time period. The application may also display an interactive overlay that contains information to assist users in creating a wager. The interactive overlay may be displayed when a user highlights or points to information. The interactive overlay may contain, for example, an estimated current payout for a specific wager amount, the total amount of the wager, the weather conditions at a racetrack, or any other suitable information.
