  • Patent number: 8068936
Abstract: According to one aspect, the present invention provides a method of controlling operation of a plurality of different model variants of a refrigeration appliance using a commonly-configured control board for the plurality of different model variants. The method includes identifying the first model variant as being one of the plurality of model variants to be controlled; and responsive to this identifying, selecting a suitable control routine from among a plurality of available control routines that are accessible to the control board for controlling operation of the plurality of model variants. The plurality of available control routines includes at least a first control routine to be executed for controlling operation of a portion of a refrigeration circuit provided to the first model variant and a second control routine to be executed for controlling operation of a portion of a refrigeration circuit provided to the second model variant. The first control routine is different than the second control routine.

  • Publication number: 20090178427
Abstract: A refrigeration appliance includes an insulated cabinet forming an interior cavity. A refrigeration system cools the interior cavity. A first light source emits light into the interior cavity along a first illumination axis. A second light source for emits light into the interior cavity along a second illumination axis. A bottle storage rack is located within the insulated cabinet. The bottle storage rack includes a first rung pair, a second rung pair, and a third rung pair. The first illumination axis passes between a rung of the first rung pair and a rung of the second rung pair, and the second illumination axis passes between another rung of the second rung pair and a rung of the third rung pair.

  • Patent number: 6792772
Abstract: A forced air cooler (10) includes a cabinet (20) defining a lower chamber (30) wherein product is stored and an upper chamber (40) housing a pair of fans (62) and (64) positioned intermediate spaced evaporators (52) and (54). A wire rack (90) disposed on the floor of the cabinet (20) supports the product off the floor and includes integral side fences (94) and (96) which serve to space the product away from the side walls (26) and (28) of the cabinet. The fans (62) and (64) draw air through the evaporators (52) and (54), respectively, and direct the cooing air through the openings provided by the slots (68) in the diffuser plate (66) to provide a uniformly distributed flow of cooling air, at its coolest condition, downwardly into the lower chamber (30) to pass over the product stored therein.
