  • Patent number: 5148889
Abstract: A new and improved overhead package retrieval system, including a series of C-shaped tracks which are mounted onto storage shelf units, a platform that has rollers that fit within these C-shaped tracks and allow the platform to move, a special jointed retractable axle system which allows the platform to move along the tracks even if they are not completely parallel, a fold-up ladder for a user to get from ground to platform level, a special brake that operates when fold-up ladder is down to prevent movement of the platform, a package platform that allows a user to easily move packages from the platform to the ground, and a series of guard rails and hand rails to make the overhead package retrieval system safe.

  • Patent number: 4693383
Abstract: A cigarette carton merchandising rack assembly is disclosed. A plurality of uprights are connected by transverse tie braces and base plates to form a rack module. Each of the tie braces includes a cam lock assembly and each of the base plates has a locking key that facilitate positive securement of the uprights, tie braces and base plates to form each rack module. Shelves are removably carried by the uprights and include ticket support surfaces. Several of the individual rack modules can be joined to each other to form a rack assembly that provides maximum floor space usage. Various heights adjusting assemblies, leg levelers and caster wheel mounting devices which are usable with the merchandising rack module to increase the overall flexibility of the module are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4603782
Abstract: An adjustable shelf assembly intended primarily for use with a rack having a plurality of spaced, slotted generally vertical uprights is disclosed. The adjustable shelf assembly includes a generally planar rectangular shelf pan to which are secured front and rear shelf support tabs. The tabs at the rear of the shelf are fixed while those at the front are slideable forwardly and rearwardly with respect to the shelf pan. An actuator button is provided for each of the slideable shelf support tabs which are biased forwardly by coil springs. Rearward force applied to the actuator buttons causes the slideable forward shelf tabs to move to the rear so that the shelf can be disconnected from the rack frame.

  • Patent number: 4148535
Abstract: A system for constructing modular display and storage cases is disclosed in which the cases are built up from standard shelving. The shelving includes a vertical slot near the front face for engaging a selected mounting element, which in turn provide support for the door panels of the unit. Side panels are attached to complete the structure. Using the same shelves and mounting elements a wide variety of different display and storage case configurations can be constructed.
