Abstract: A skylight panel of fiberglass or other translucent material is integrated into a metal standing rib roof without loss of structural integrity in the roof system. The skylight panel is suspended in the roof system by a pair of formed suspension channels without the use of rivets or other like fasteners. The skylight panel is relieved of direct stresses caused by expansion and contraction of the roof system, and is protected from abrasion and wear caused by sliding contact with purlins or other metal parts. The skylight mounting means is characterized by simplicity and economy and is effectively sealed against leakage.
