Abstract: A request for establishing an IP session from a mobile device to be activated and connected to a cellular network is redirected to a web portal or platform of the cellular network. When the mobile device sends an authentication request for requesting establishment of an IP session to the cellular network, the mobile device receives a restricted IP address from the cellular network if the mobile device is not currently authorized for communication via the cellular network. A reverse domain name system lookup is performed on the restricted IP address to find a host name of a web portal or platform of the cellular network corresponding to the restricted IP address. The mobile device determines whether or not redirection of an IP communication request to the web portal or platform of the cellular network is to occur based on the host name.

This configuration may be accomplished with the use of a trigger, such as a Specific_Called_Party_Digit_String trigger. While the mobile switching center is configured for the emergency, a designated trigger condition may be detected with respect to an attempted communication for a mobile station through the identified cell site base station.

Abstract: An approach is provided for overriding a call blocking feature. A request to establish a voice call over a wireless network to a called party is intercepted. A call blocking feature is detected as being enabled for the called party. The calling party is prompted for a passcode in response to the detected call blocking feature. Abstract: A novel scheme for screening weak memory cell includes a cell coupled to a leakage stress delivery circuitry (LSDC), which, in turn, is coupled to an induced leakage adjustment control (ILAC). The LSDC includes a combination of PMOS transistors, NMOS transistors or both PMOS and NMOS transistors that are controlled by a plurality of stress inducing signals. The PMOS and/or NMOS transistors of the LSDC are coupled to a pair of complementary data lines. The complementary data lines are inputs to a sense amplifier and are outputs of a write driver. The ILAC controls the quantity of the leakage stress applied through the LSDC to the pair of complementary data lines. The ILAC further includes a leakage varying circuitry that is configured to adjust the leakage stress applied to the complementary data lines through the LSDC.

Abstract: In disclosed embodiments, a relatively small passive monitor tool provides one or more alerts to a user of a mobile station, to readily notify the user, even if the station is carried in a pocket or purse. In one example, the tool listens for a message on a paging channel of the wireless network, indicating an incoming call or the like intended for the mobile station. Upon detecting the incoming paging signal, the tool provides its own perceptible alert to the user. In another example, the tool listens to the access channel for periodic keep-alive signals from the mobile station. When the monitor tool fails to detect such signals from the station, for example, for some interval, the tool provides another perceptible alert to the user. This second alert may indicate low-battery, an out-of-range mobile station, or that the mobile station signals are blocked by some obstacle.

Abstract: The present invention is generally related to a soft paper-based product comprising a cellulosic fibrous material, wherein an aqueous-based softening composition is incorporated into the paper-based product. The softening composition includes a silicone glycol, a silicone quaternary ammonium compound, an emollient, and water. The softening composition may be incorporated into a paper-based product such that the add-on level of the softening composition is between about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the paper-based product. In some embodiments, the softening composition is an oil-in-water emulsion. The present invention is also directed to a method for forming soft paper products, where a cellulosic fibrous web is treated with an aqueous-based softening composition, which includes a silicone glycol, a silicone quaternary ammonium compound, an emollient, and water.

Abstract: A digital wireless telephone downloads software related to digital telephone services using a client browser. The digital telephone initiates a data call to an interworking unit via a digital wireless telephone network, using a prescribed wireless data protocol such as IS-95A. The interworking unit recovers the payload of the wireless data packets to establish a two-way data link with the digital telephone. The interworking unit sends data messages to a destination server across a second two-way data link in a packet switched network to establish a two way session between the digital telephone and the destination server. The user of the digital telephone can thus communicate with the server via a two-way application-layer session using hypertext-based messaging.
