  • Patent number: 5500049
Abstract: A method of applying a treating agent to a surface, e.g., a vehicle body surface, without undue fatigue. A working pad is formed with a handle attachment part having a first flat surface substantially parallel with a bottom work surface of the pad. A handle is provided with a pad engaging part having a second flat surface. The handle and the working pad are configured to fit with one another by friction, and the first and the second flat surfaces then become aligned flush. The work surface of the pad is placed on the surface after applying a treating agent, and the pad is wiped via the fitted handle over the surface while exerting a downward force.
