  • Publication number: 20110138702
Abstract: A pre-engineered/prefabricated wall assembly that has inner and outer sidewall panels of rigid insulation material that acts as both thermal insulation and concrete forms. The inner and outer sidewall panels are connected by connecting rods that secures a metal stud wall frame to the interior of the wall assembly, and a metal stud wall frame to the exterior of the wall assembly. The connecting rods serve to align the inner and outer sidewall panels separate from, and parallel to, each other, thereby providing a space for rebar and concrete to form a reinforced concrete wall. The mortar-less brick/stone veneer is attached to the wall assembly by inserting an attaching rod through the outer and inner sidewall panels, and is secured with a mechanical fastener, thereby securing the mortar-less brick/stone veneer in place until the poured concrete permanently secures the mortar-less brick/stone veneer to the exterior of the wall assembly.

  • Patent number: 7007436
Abstract: The snap-in-place building block has two internal support brackets constructed from durable plastic that are equipped with male and female interlocking devices, a rebar clip, a furring strip, and exterior flanges that are molded into a block body made from foamed plastic. A body of foamed plastic is molded around the brackets, the body defining two hollow cores, one bracket being disposed in each of the cores. A horizontal channel is formed between adjacent blocks when stacked above each other. The cores and horizontal channels receive concrete or mortar that forms vertical columns and horizontal beams within the wall. An exterior veneer is attached to the protruding exterior flanges on one side of the building block. The configuration of the block may be altered to allow for half-blocks and corner blocks.

  • Patent number: 4130975
Abstract: An improved insulation panel, which includes first and second extruded elongated aluminum plates, one of which contains a channel and the other a projection, by means of which they are placed in abutting engagement to form a single panel with a tongue formed on the end of one of said plates and a groove on the other of said plates, to permit placing a plurality of panels in abutting relationship without gaps therebetween, and in which, on the outside edges of each of said plates, and thus on the outside edges of said panel, there are formed C shaped channels, one of said channels, having installed therein, a plurality of mounting clips, and the other, having installed therein, a plurality of insulation retaining clips, both of said pluralities of clips being slideable in said channels, to facilitate the installation of said panels, with insulation retained behind the panels, against a structure such as a duct, precipitator or boiler requiring insulation.
