  • Publication number: 20130116560
Abstract: The present application relates to an ultrasound temperature mapping system and method. The ultrasound temperature mapping system for measuring a temperature of an object comprises an ultrasound transducer and a processing module. The ultrasound transducer is configured to acquire a first image and a second image with respect to the object. The processing module implements a zero-crossing algorithm to process the first image to yield a plurality of first zero-crossing points and implements a cross-correlation algorithm to process the first image and the second images based on the plurality of first zero-crossing points so as to obtain a plurality of displacements. The processing module further calculates the temperature based on the plurality of displacements.

  • Patent number: 8410664
Abstract: The method of changing ultrasound wave frequency by using the acoustic matching layer presents a replaceable acoustic matching layer to offer an effective means of filtering the original broadband frequency of an ultrasonic transducer into certain composite discontinuous frequencies. The filtering effect could be improved by connecting the electrodes of the acoustic matching layer when it is made of a poled piezoelectric material. This method may provide novel applications for commercial ultrasonic transducers.

  • Patent number: 7982366
Abstract: An ultrasound transducer has a cup-shaped casing. The cup-shaped casing has a sidewall. A cross section of an inner surface of the sidewall being perpendicular to a central axis of the ultrasound transducer substantially shows a dumbbell-shaped contour. The dumbbell-shaped contour has a pair of opposite straight-line sections being substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the dumbbell-shaped contour and a pair of opposite arc sections being located respectively at two ends of the longitudinal axis of the dumbbell-shaped contour and respectively forming two enlarged portions of the dumbbell-shaped contour. Two ends of each arc section of the dumbbell-shaped contour respectively joint the straight-line sections through two curve sections and each curve section is connected to one end of the arc section and one straight-line section. At least one enlarged area of a dumbbell-shaped surface of an inside bottom surface has a recessed portion.

  • Publication number: 20080108900
Abstract: An ultrasound transducer apparatus for shaping the ultrasound coverage field per application requirement in both the radiating and receiving mode of operation. Wave coverage field is shaped by forming at least one cut at designated location on the housing wall. A cut on the housing wall of the transducer pot-shaped structural body results into the reduction of wave intensity, either radiating or receiving, toward that direction where the cut is located.

  • Patent number: 6792201
Abstract: A water heating device is arranged between a water tank and a water faucet located below the water tank. Water from the water tank flows along a pipeline through the water heating device to the faucet. The water heating device includes a hydroelectric generation system including a turbine mounted in the pipeline and a generator coupled to the turbine by a shaft. Water flowing through the pipeline drives the turbine and thus causes the generator to generate electricity. The electricity is supplied to an electrical heater that heats the water flowing through the pipeline. A control unit controls the electricity supplied to the electrical heater thereby controlling the thermal energy transferred to the water. Thus, no external and independent energy source is required for heating the water.

  • Publication number: 20030006905
Abstract: The present invention provides a new power switch apparatus design. Under this kind of design, a blue tooth module is placed in this power switch apparatus which receives signal from blue tooth control device. Control devices having blue tooth module may make up a wireless link to the power switch apparatus of this present invention. These devices having a blue tooth controllable function can remotely monitor and control the power switch of the power switch apparatus. On the other hand, the power switch apparatus may send the power consumption information itself to the a device that has a blue tooth controllable function. Therefore, the present invention's apparatus may provide a two-way communication between the power switch apparatus and the control device having blue tooth module.
