  • Patent number: 7841026
Abstract: A head protection system comprises a helmet shell, a visor mounting for pivotally mounting a visor to the shell to enable the visor to be moved between raised and lowered positions, and a retainer for releasably retaining the visor to the helmet. The system includes a visor adapted for mounting on the shell which comprises a substrate of transparent thermoplastic material and a backing substrate comprising a plurality of layers of high performance, ballistic resistant material. The system may further include a second visor which can be releasably connected to the shell using the same visor mounting and which may have a different construction and primary function.

  • Publication number: 20100190590
Abstract: A thong used for stringing the head of a lacrosse stick, a pre-laced pocket incorporating said thong and a net incorporating said pre-laced pocket. The thong has a plurality of holes defined therein and which extend between the front and rear surfaces of the thong. The holes are configured to receive a lacing member therethrough. The pre-laced pocket is comprised of a plurality of said thongs and a lacing member threaded through the holes in a diamond-shaped, cross-laced pattern. The net is comprised of the pre-laced pocket and one or more connector strings that extend between the pre-laced pocket and the head's frame.

  • Publication number: 20060204393
Abstract: An optical network unit having an environmentally sealed printed circuit board arrangement within a first compartment and a signal in/out arrangement in a second compartment. The compartments are provided by two housings. Instead of replacing individual circuit boards in the case of breakdown or malfunction, replacement of the whole of the printed circuit board arrangement is necessary thereby eliminating human error and minimizing downtime. Two housings provide the two compartments. These housings are preferably mounted upon a housing mount and a carrier for the optical network unit is also preferably mounted upon the housing mount. This housing and carrier arrangement simplifies assembly and disassembly of parts of the unit for maintenance and replacement purposes.
