The bowl is sealed by a film engaging the bowl so as to hold a contact lens between said bowl and the film. A lens is placed in saline between the bowl and the film. Finally, there is contained a light sensitive cover attached to the bowl. This controls the type of light which passes through said cover and onto said bowl. Typically, the cover is impervious to ultraviolet light.
